For any of you watermarking: you want it vertically across multiple messages so that no single letter or word in 'kiwi was right' (or whatever you want to say) is removed. If your gray watermark on a gray background is off to the side somewhere in some dead space you can just MS paint that out in your sleep. Even if you have that watermark superimposed over a message horizontally, as long as it's contained within a singular message it's easy enough to just shop the one message out and collapse the space between the two. Again, I think you want them going vertically.
