Will Men Vote for Kamala Harris? Polls Paint Bleak Picture for Democrats

Vice President Kamala Harris is struggling to garner support among male voters, according to polling data.

A new poll, conducted by the Economist and YouGov between July 21 and 23, showed that only 39 percent of men said they would vote for Harris, while 47 percent said they would vote for former President Donald Trump. The poll surveyed 1,435 registered voters and had a margin of error of 3.1 percent.

Another poll conducted by Emerson College between July 22 and 23 had a similar result, with male voters in most of the swing states opting for Trump over Harris. Trump had the biggest lead over Harris among male voters in Michigan, where he was 16 points ahead, 54 to 38. His lead in Pennsylvania was slightly smaller, with 55 percent of male voters supporting him for a 15-point advantage.

In Arizona and Wisconsin, Trump was 13 points ahead, while in Georgia he led by 10. The poll surveyed between 800 and 845 people in each state and had a margin of error of 3 percent.

In the latest poll conducted by the New York Times and Siena College between July 22 and 24, 37 percent of men said they would vote for Harris, while 56 percent said they would vote for Trump.

Newsweek has contacted the Harris campaign for comment via email.

The results come after Democrats made gains among men in the 2020 election, with only a 2-point gap between Trump and President Joe Biden (50 percent to 48 percent). That was up from 2016, when Trump won men by 11 points (52 percent to 41 percent).

Male voters have historically favored Republican candidates, while women tend to favor Democrats, with a gender gap being apparent in every presidential election since 1980,according to the Center for American Women and Politics, which analyzes historical election data.

Carrie Baker, a professor of women, gender and sexuality at Smith College in Massachusetts, told Newsweek that in order to capture the male vote, Democrats "need to develop messaging targeting men that focuses on the policy issues, not on Harris as the first female president."

Harris, the first woman to be vice president in U.S. history, would be the first female U.S. president in history.

According to a recent study by the Young Men's Research Initiative conducted from July 9 to 23, men aged 18-29 were more likely to be supportive of female candidates over Trump when presented with their policies, including support for high-paying jobs and affordable housing, rather than when they were presented with arguments centered around the importance of having the first female president. The study surveyed 1,092 men in that age group.

"The trend of young men drifting away from Democrats, and their increasing sexism, should be of huge concern to candidates up and down the ticket," the Young Men's Research Initiative study's author wrote. "But we can't give up on half of a generation that will be able to vote for another 50 years. This research shows that we can make inroads by changing how we talk about Democratic issues that young men already support. We should be using targeted messaging to reach them."

Harris' campaign messaging has sought to highlight her record as a prosecutor compared to Trump's criminal charges. References to Harris as the potential first female president is U.S. history have been fairly infrequent.

Dr. Jonathan Parker, senior lecturer in U.S. Politics at Keele University in the U.K., told Newsweek that there is "no question" Harris will still "face opposition from some people because of her sex and because of her race."

"That was one of the key reasons for nominating Biden in 2020," he said.

However, Baker added that she is confident America is "ready for Harris and what she offers in terms of policies that really help people."

The Economist/YouGov poll showed that 25 percent of men answered "no" when asked if they hope to see the U.S. elect its first female president. That is compared to 23 percent of female voters polled who answered "no."

For all of the accelerationists out there, I know that there’s a chance that Trump doesn’t do much in his second term and that his brand of populism dies out and we go back to the same old gay neoliberal uniparty politics but on steroids for at least several decades but I need you to realize something: violent revolution won’t inevitably lead to the West being saved and a new Chudtopia rising from the ashes. For example, the Russian Revolution, while initially a positive force as it unseated the incompetent Tsarist regime under Nicholas II, quickly got co-opted by the Bolsheviks, who proceeded to beat the Whites and subject Russia to 70 years of Communist tyranny. There is a non-zero chance that in the hypothetical 2ACW that a faction worse than the current regime wins and controls the U.S for at least some decades. I know that trusting on a peaceful resolution to the major problems of the day has its risks, but violent revolution also has risks, risks that are much higher than with peaceful revolution.
This will never happen lmao. There will be no "American Bolshevik Revolution" or whatever else you think might go down in some eventual civil war. Comparing the political & social atmosphere of Tsarist Russia to modern day USA is laughable. Antifa are larping rich kid retards. They're only useful when propped up by the state for a specific purpose. It's the flipside to /pol/'s fantasies about Weimerica & how the American Hitler is just right around the corner! In all likelihood things are going to just continue to get worse over the decades (regardless of who wins in 2024) until the American Empire loses hegemony over the world. What happens after that is anyone's guess. Trump isn't going to usher in some peaceful resolution. He's already largely conceded to the morality of the left as has pretty much everyone in public life.

I've said before: if there would be an armed rebellion it would be in 2020 either from the election or covid. It didn't happen. People practiced malicious compliance and civil disobedience instead. There will never be a revolution or second civil war unless one of three things happen (or a combination of them)

1 - A figure as compelling and charismatic as Trump appears and instead of pushing for voting, he pushes for revolution and gets enough footing before being neutralized that any attempt to neutralize him will cause his second in command to take over and war to start anyway. This is almost impossible; governments are usually not stupid enough to allow this unless they're so ruined by incompetency that they cannot do anything even as they see it happening
2 - A foreign power like China or Russia openly takes over the government. I don't mean like people saying the Jews rule people, I mean like Xi Jinping marching on the white house, killing or arresting the president, and then seizing control of the government by force
3 - The government becomes so incompetent and malicious that they physically force a revolution by acting as if one is already in progress, such as mandatory violent gun seizures, long term total martial law, or openly going to war against a whole city.

It won't happen before this. Anyone thinking otherwise is deluded.

Alright, so you're some faggot named RedStorm who can't read a room. Huge news for you.

You should take a hint. You're in a thread where 90% of posters are on the same (alleged) side as you politically, and you're ostracized and disliked.

You can course-correct, find a different forum, or commit suicide. Truthfully, I'm an undecided voter given your options. Let us know what you land on.
Respectfully, he has a right to sneed, and you is have a right to cope and seethe.

From one to another, take heart - these things were foretold in the gospel, that many would be led astray by false teachers of the faith, that many would be captured by their desire of the flesh. What we are seeing now is the "great delusion" - I feel that God has given man over to their iniquity at this point, as stated in Timothy. We are not long for the End, hold tight brother.

This is because much of the left has been overtaken by communist ideology and thought at this point. Marxism/communism believes that revolution is an essential component of starting a commie utopia, things have to get so bad that people revolt in support of commie promises. The issue with their thinking in the US as opposed to other places communism has been tried is that pretty much everyone here had a better standard of living under capitalism than anything communism could ever provide. They can make things as dire as they want but many normies still realize that capitalism worked just fine, but commies are nothing if not retarded.

You think christians were telling themselves this back in the 1600s? "Just wait a little more my brother in christ, we're in the end times now!"

If we are worried that THIS will win..

Then yet, this is more and more miracles vs CLOWNS than it can get. Maybe that's how it'll be.

@Catch The Rainbow Mayorkas is such an odd looking Jew. He has a snake face. I’m used to Jewish men of certain stock either looking like an Italian or a skinny hook nosed goblin that justifies my inherent bias because how they look, but he looks like a lizard man.

Jewish women are a mixed bunch. If I can’t tell by body language (Jewish women slouch), I can tell by the cadence of how they talk.

Men don't vote for Democrats. It isn't a Kamala thing, they would have these same issues with Biden or Kelly.
Honestly the gender disparity in political affiliation between unattached people is concerning and a sign of social decay.

the funny thing about Democratic Underground is that he has been conditioned to not at all be embarrassed by being such a sperg in public; even on reddit, many subs would have users that would give some pushback and at least suggest that he (or she?) is being cringe, but DU is a boomerlib establishment dem cult that has encouraged this attitude since the Dubya days

Kamala is a dumb nigger, but no foreign head of state should publicly deny a request of the US. specially one that comes every other week begging for ammunition and billions in order to deal with basically nothing more than a criminal gang controlling a small strip of land and being unable to defeat them for over 7 months.

I doubt Golda Meir refused Nixon's or Kissinger's in 73.

This is a dangerous sign of decline when even your lend lease allies outright refuse you and embarrass you in public.
