Infinite's campaign isn't that grindy. The Gunplay was genuinely better than the bungie games and the banished were more fun to fight besides hunters.

Didn't they add back in hunter boarding for halo reach on the MCC? I recall it being in the game once a few years ago and 343 has a habit of stealthpatching the MCC to remove shit and be as unfun as possible while adding faggot nameplates no one asked for.

I had a better time emulating the halo games or dusting off the old 360 than dealing with 343's fuckery and the "quitting" penalities that don't punish AFKers. They only punish actual players fed up with antisocial retards on their team either throwing the match or abusing the in game betrayal boot feature and made me completely abandon MCC matchmade multiplayer altogether.
got added back in back in 2022

Infinite's campaign is sporadically interesting, but the boss fights just became a insane slog on legendary (especially that lady alien in the circle room) and the lack of actual checkpoints so you could save and quit was criminal. I actually found the boss battles easier on LASO than regular legendary, just because I had infinite (lol) ammo and the tank gun (which i think they patched out?). Of course the story like all things 343, takes things from the books/comics and assumes you know the characters and what happened between the last game and this and dumps you in an unsatisfying ending.

I will say having a fully loaded razor with marines and the special sentinel beam is something to behold. It literally melts everything in seconds and I wish I could take them into the actual missions.

Not surprising in the slighest
I've said this to friends and i'll say it here, why they didn't just make an ODST tv show akin to something like saving private rayan or any military hollywood action movie about a squad of soldiers is beyond me
not saying it would of been better or even good but still, those live action commercials show the potential with the right people can be there but we are long past the era of actual passion for products

The first Halo game is right there, man. You can get a two seasons of good TV with only that game. Generation Kill for zoomers at least? But of course not. Cops bad and muh emotions

Gunplay still feels weightless and light as fuck like most modern shooters, its just the retarded sound design autism that carries its illusion on good speakers. Enemies were okay, but its still strongly missing the anime influences and its just what 343's retarded faggot art team THINK CE looked like and thus its still far too up its own generic and overdesigned sci-fi ass with the illusion of the older style.
I agree the gunplay and enemies were kino though

They didn’t want to nerf the damage/have the game be precision dominated? It doesn’t add up since the game is arguably still dominated by it even with the bloom.

I think bungie saw the writing on the wall and we’re slowly growing sick of esports so they started to do what infinity Ward do in cod and make changes to spite tryhards.
Yup, it was like tripping in Smash bros

They technically tried that with Fireteam Raven. Since the whole "alpha base" thing wasn't even in the original combat evolved. Though the clashing artstyles of Halo Wars, CEA, H2A, and Reach, to the point of actually bringing FORGE WORLD into the story was jarring and really killed any storytelling they were trying to do.

343 can seriously fuck off with their halo reach dickriding. Halo 1 was about a space navy with primarily pelicans being transports. We need more stuff like the Cobra and Wolverine. If I wanted to see helicopters and Humvees being the primary vehicles used in a story, I would just go play literally any modern FPS made over the last 14 years since reach.

Plus Fireteam raven is another one of 343's retard moments where they never port this to actual home consoles or the MCC. So new players to the MCC have no idea what the fuck Raven is about. Like I didn't. Its just as bad as expecting people to read the books or other obscure media to figure out what was going on for Halo 5's story like they did back then.

You know something, sometimes the Halo community really makes me lose faith in humanity. We had something that everyone had been asking for for years; a live adaptation of our beloved franchise and all everyone did was complain.

It was a well written, elaborate story that was only just getting started. Season 3 would have really catapulted it to the forefront of modern entertainment without a doubt. But no, we just had to cry online about it until it got cancelled.

This was the best portrayal of the master chief we could’ve hoped for. He was relatable and human. What a kickass character cut short. Such a shame

Are you being sarcastic? I pray to Christ you are because nobody actually thinks this about the Halo show.

They don't even respect or understand that art style lmao.
From what I saw of the Fireteam Raven armor sets in the MCC battlepass, I thought it was a good idea to have different classes for the ODST whilst keeping that tacticool tone.
It was way better than that horrible ODST armor set in Halo 4 with the huge backpack that felt out of place.

Tacticool is still pretty gay and I think Bungie did it a lot better, just my two cents of course.

They never got over AoEII being more successful than Myth.

(It's a joke, I love Myth).

Do we have any solid info on the matter? I've heard the "Bungie hated Halo Wars" story quite a few times, but I'm curious about the source.
I hope the remaster of myth is decent. Blizzard scarred me with Warcraft Reforged.
Oh thank God. I can't believe someone out there actually believes that, but at least it's not you.
I think it’s a fledging copypasta because I saw it posted on two different Halo threads.
