A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

Theirs loads of woman in uk mens prisons and i imagine men in uk womens prisons.
Usually their middle aged dykes or younguns straight outta uni as they have some scheme for graduates. Their lucky to make it past 2 weeks without realising how awful the job is and doing a runner. The dykes though love the power as they can take out their man hating feminist ideas on the prisoners.

Tommy Robinson actually does have a fairly decent knowledge of the law, and to the surprise of the powers that be, has been able to secure actual good legal representation (a rarity in the UK where the solicitor you pay money to, legally doesn't have to represent your best interests).

When he was jailed in 2018 the police waited untill his solicitor was on holiday abroad, and had a friendly 'duty' solicitor lined up, who would play ball with the CPS and courts. What's saved him has been Ezra Levant, and having a media outlet outside the UK that's willing to go against UK reporting restrictions. It actually helps that Levant is based in Canada and moderates how Rebel News operates to the extent that it can still be widely shared in the UK. Levant is literally Jewey McJewFace but he has repeatedly gone to the wall for Robinson.

The fact that TalkTv are calling bullshit, and the Reform party know that their base will demand they make at least a token effort to speak up for Tommy (not farage himself but one of the toadie MP's lucky to have gotten a seat) shows that the the direction of travel is changing. If Robinson were to make his home in say Poland or Czechia I don't think the establishment would chase him too hard.

Incidentally he also survived bankruptcy becuase of his bullshit civil cases. Probably because his single large financial backer also has decent lawyers and won't play ball.

Everybody closely involved in supporting Tommy has survived Police and HMRC investigations, and still loyal to the guy. That says a lot.

Pointing and laughing aside, it's interesting and sad to see how the UK and the US' worst aspects are reinforced and allowed by their population. The US has idiots who think Trump should be killed for being uncouth and blindly repeat whatever the news says about him, and ignore massive amounts of fraud because they don't want to admit the truth of their situation, and the UK has idiots who make excuses for their governmental overreach and silencing of the truth by blindly repeating whatever the news says about Tommy and making excuses like 'oh he was told that the thing he knows is the truth was legally libel so he got what he deserved'.

Earlier today I watched a video in which over half-a-dozen British police officers failed to apprehend a fat man who speed-waddled away from them across a busy intersection.

The British Army is tiny, the number of actual trained infantry soldiers is even smaller (most soldiers fire their rifle once a year and never do actual live firing exercises). The Police are good at policing twitter and shooting some black kid armed with a sock in a multi week operation, but less good at actually clearing the streets of people that don't want to be cleared.

The UK is lucky that Vladimir Putin is still leading Russia. In the 1980's Muhamar Quadaffi caused chaos by sending a few ISO containers of surplus weapons to northern ireland, even now nearly 40 years later those weapons keep turning up.

I guarantee you when Keir Starmer announced British cruise missiles could be used to hit targets within Russia, the civil servants who got a grip of him and told him he needed to back down (which he did like a good boy) had visions of the Libyan gun running episode in their heads.

Our coppers are useless faggots. The RAF and Navy are useless fat faggots. The Army are retarded low-IQ chimps but in a revolution/Civil war, they would protect their family, not the country.

A civil war or civil unrest would be brutal for the first 24-48 hours with civvy casualties. After that, the coppers and armed forces are fucked. The most violent chavs, especially the gypsies, can handle themselves one-to-one with fists. A gang of gypos could chin 90% of entire police force without breaking a sweat.

If it goes down, the government/coppers wouldn't stand a chance, short of indiscriminately mowing people down with a GPMG, which would only make them look worse and boost support for the rioters.

That's if the civil was was man vs government and not man vs government backed by foreign interests and exploding muzzies.
