Furries have shit opsec because of the conditions they are typically in. They want poor opsec so they can network more with other furries, and they are used to rarely getting called out or getting any real pushback. Other furries won't do it, because they're a tribal bunch who will defend other furries to the death (with maybe the exception of individual rivals or political opposites). Kero the Wolf was never broadly denounced or even really kicked out of the fandom, even after his literal fucking of dead animals was made public knowledge, they were more upset that a well known furry was outed unavoidably as a weirdo (yes, all furries are sexual weirdos, but this removed any of that deniability).
His genetics are overshadowed by his poor lifestyle choices. I can tell a lot about someone's habits from how they look. His face is really bloated, suggesting he eats too much sodium and doesn't get good sleep. The wrinkles and acne are a sign of excessive sugar intake (most likely added sugar) combined with poor hygiene. The greasy skin and hair tells me he's eating too many saturated fats and struggling to bathe himself every day.
In general, most people have shit opsec. However in the case of furries, most of them have shit opsec as most furries won't care about whatever degen shit they do (i.e BlueFolf) They're so used to not being called out that they use the same alias or link back to their alias when doing weird shit.
Besides what Throng said, I believe most furries (and also most terminally online people) have no idea how reputation works and they feel safe behind their digital personas. They think that it's ok to use the same username from your main social media account as your gore/porn account for example.
