Its more worrying that they rely on civilian cell bands for their drones and don't have a way to set up some sort of LAN at the event.

We know thats not true and its just a lazy excuse.

Not discounting your personal story, but in 2016 only 12% of Bernie voters went for Trump. 75% of his "supporters" voted for the criminal who backstabbed him during the primaries.

Bernie was a LARP, like many other sideshows of modern leftist politics. He was the hat you wore when you imagine yourself being an outsider or revolutionary, just like "the Squad" when they got started. Clinton, Biden, and Harris are the hats you wear when you imagine yourself to be a thoughtful, reasonable liberal.

Just like being a feminist is the hat you wear when you're angry about being born a woman. Or "community organizing" and protesting, when you feel powerless (you still are). Or getting big into unions when you think your workplace sucks. Or modding r/antiwork when you realize your college degree is worthless. Or being "queer", or joining Antifa, or paypigging for Breadtubers, etc.

All of these are outlets for frustration, not viable avenues for change. None of these activities affect the stance of the Democratic Party. They are different flavors of ice cream, sold to you so that you don't complain that your particular flavor isn't offered.

None of it matters because no matter what hat they wear, they all VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO. The people who won't fall in line over matters of principle have already left the party, forcibly weeded out during the first Trump Administration.

(And that's probably why the left hates Trump so much: for better or worse, he actually changed how his Party works. He's not just another flavor that the GOP offers for appeasement, he destroyed 16 different flavors of Republicans during the 2016 primary. And his supporters literally wear identity hats, instead of pretending.)

So long as "weird" replaces "actually, literally Adolph Hitler, who you should feel 100% justified in doing violence against" in their squishy little brains, then I appreciate it.

Nobody ever got assassinated for being WEIRD.

I don’t know if I agree. On the one hand, it is nice that they aren’t demonizing Trump in that manner.
But I also don’t believe they’ve changed that belief. They’re just slinking away like cowards, trying to hide in the shadows. They’ll be back with that exact same rhetoric as soon as they feel safe enough. So now’s the time to take them to task. Rather than letting them hide behind more paltry insults, and pretend they aren’t the danger to society they really are.

Most local PD radio comms are encrypted now. Feds have been for a long time. They'd have to be compatible and all radios on each other's systems. Vendor lock-in is a real thing.

EDIT: Just checked and yep, Butler PD is encrypted with P25 Phase II.
