That's the hilarious thing, he thinks just looking you in the eye makes his lie automatically work. I mean, okay, I'm kind of a liar myself from time to time, and the eye contact thing, where you lie to someone while looking them directly in the eyes, that works, that's pretty good, that gets your lie to work the FIRST time, but when someone realizes you can do that, they generally distrust you in the future.
