Hey, can someone help me out here?

I've been using Tartube to download youtube videos since it became one of the few reliable ways (its basically a frontend for yt-dlp IIRC) but for some reason, every time I download Linkara's Secret Wars II video... its silent.

No other video has done that to me. Only this one.

And I'd rather watch it offline.

If someone can help me download this video with audio intact, thanks!

I used to use yt1s to grab the Metokur and Nostalgia Chick videos from there and never had any issues with them. Maybe give that a shot?

Can you direct link to it? When I searched I found multiple websites that included some variation of "yt1s" in their name. Also the first one I tried only allowed me to download it in 360p. Not sure I got the right site.

There's actually been issues with web-based youtube downloaders these days, which is why I switched to Tartube.
 
The Star Wars thread brought to my attention another YouTuber who, much like Linkara, has autism, called J.J. Plagiarism. Not an insult. Just a statement of fact. He even does the exact same thing, wasting 10 minutes "answering" future complaints, just like the infamous power ranger rant.

The key difference between the two is, however, that J.J. Plagiarisms truly loves Star Wars and is using his talents for good to try to save his favorite thing, while Linkara is a grifter who just says whatever his woke overlords tell him to think. What makes him relevant to this thread, you might ask? Well, J.J. Plagiarism absolutely destroyed Linkara in one of his videos:

I like anything that takes the piss out of Lewis, but I can't support defending the Prequels.

I get people grew up on them. But can Prequels fans just admit they like them even though they're bad and quit trying to make like they're good. I grew up on Canon Movies I love them they're entertaining as hell, but you're never going to see me claim American Ninja 2 is a good movie.

I also cant standing the Special Edition defense. People forget George Lucas specifically testified in congress about the important of preserving the original version of films, specifically about adding colorization to black and white films. The thought that the version of Star Wars that won those academy awards will no longer exist is horrifying to film preservationists, and not to mention the fact that the micro edits to A New Hope was done almost surely to remove Marcia Lucas's (George's ex-wife) credits as editor, one of the asformentioned Academy Awards the film won, feels outright petty. The Special Edition Hate is mainly for preservation, coupled with the fact that it's blatant hypocrisy and potential pettiness.

The prequels are a good story told badly. They are bad, but they're bad in a different way from the sequel trilogy. They are, for better or worse, 100% George Lucas on the screen. George with no filter, his full vision without restraint. And George had one thing going for him: He had a story he wanted to tell, with a beginning, middle, and end.

The sequel trilogy's a bad story told by a schitzophrentic. The first movie was nostalgia bait, and there was a foundation to do things(there def was a good amount of influence from George's original drafts, but not as much as people seem to believe). Rian Johnson then came in and rejected every single scrap of ideas and went far left field, for better or worse. JJ Abrams came back and, it's actually odd and almost something that is worthy of study.

The sequel trilogy is a series of movies about two filmmakers arguing past eachother, each movie being a statement in a debate. Point, counterpoint, countercounterpoint. Its like watching two parents arguing in the car and the audience being in the back seat, completely befuddled as two creators not only can't reconcile their differences, they can't even agree what they are making. And it is so patently obvious at the lack of vision and lack of direction that I'm actually astounded by people who can't see this at a cursory glance.

Dude lost me when he tried to defend the special editions within the first three minutes. That's just plain a shit take given how it does actually affect the pacing and story in small ways that hurt the film. Episode 6 in particular felt that knife the most, with the added scenes of the Twi'lek and the completely changed song that plays.

Even then, I think he might only have been ignored since he did not make fun of Lewis' shitty hero delusions like Oney did.

I won’t pretend the prequels are perfect. But I still can’t help but side with a genuine fan that loves them, over Lewis obvious grifting and stanning over KK‘s Star Wars. He is always just selling his opinion for approval of the clique he wants to appeal to. In this case woke idiots And breadtubers. No to mention him trying to fake being “a feminist”.

I would take Lewis prequel hate points more seriously if he wasn’t also a TLJ fanboy. Won’t be surprised if he ends up defending The Acolyte too.

One thing that is getting overlooked is that Lewis is a self admitted Star Trek fan that is not that much into Star Wars fan, so it’s easy for him to blindly parrot the cliche old Red Letter media points because he truly has no investment. Remember that Lewis only parrots what he thinks is “the consensus“.

I will side with a prequel fan over a Disney Wars fanboy anyday.

I got into Star Wars in my 20s. I probably saw Spaceballs at least dozens of times before I ever saw Star Wars. That doesn't mean I am immune to linking Star Wars.
