I have an alternate theory and this might sound a little insane: Maybe, just sometimes, they're simply fucking crazy. Genetics unfortunately have the most important role in most things including mental illness. Being terminally online porn addicts (which is far from exclusive to men) doesn't help matters. The idea that people only become mentally ill because of an event or because of logical easily traceable cause and effect is wishful thinking and not in line with the data. The idea that this doesn't apply to women who troon has no logical basis whatsoever as far as I can tell. Some women are just mental, Puberty, for both sexes, can activate serious identity issues and for a small minority these issues don't resolve over time. No, TERFs, it's not all men's fault and no, female trannies are not harmless. They'll groom your daughter too. I fucking hate this whole attitude that it's ALL men's fault. It's actually borderline depressing, but I saw one example of a FtM who clearly let her mental illness get the best of her and went through with her transition. Honestly I think FtMs pass better than MtFs just because of how dramatic of an impact testosterone can have on the female body (comparable to men who take steroids). You can easily make the argument for boys wanting to transition because they basically endured a decade of propaganda on how evil, bad and responsible for all horrible things they are in the world. How incompatible they are with modern life, and how every boy not interested in cars, roughing each other up or being the biggest alpha male in their social peers rather is a woman.
I can also see how some see it as an escape from the rat race and all the expectations people have on them. Having to go to war was never as likely as today, and it is a scary thought. Boys may think they are not real men if they feel fright about it, or if they find themselves not having an instinct of sacrificing themselves for society while the ideal propagandized archetype of a men does exactly that. Sometimes the one things, sometimes the other. It really depends what society needs in the current era before the white feathers are distributed again to everyone who is not "a real men". If you don't just want to be societies expandable worker bee, looking at the other side seems seductive: There are no expectations for women. You don't have to check some boxes to earn that title.
