I don’t know if this has been talked about but wayyyyy back in the Baldoverse (5 months ago) there was a line in the whole “Dear John” meltdown that still sticks out to me
That and his
thoughts on death really make me wonder if he idealized self-destruction at a conscious level. Did he think going out in a blaze of glory was the ideal way to go out, to “make him a man”?
I dunno. It's always tempting to say "admission through projection" but the problem is that Viva and Barnes have ruined that phrase with their bullshit. At least for me. Of course, that doesn't mean projection isn't very much a thing though.
I tend think, for right now anyways, he
really thinks he can smooth talk his way out of anything. That he's a master manipulator, second to none. That he's smarter than everybody else (spoiler: he's not). That it would even work against the government and a jury. Just like a lot of cult leaders tend to think. If true, I don't think would be at the end of his rope just yet.
He's
definitely self-destructive though (and towards others around him). I just can't say if it's intentional on a conscious level, or if he's genuinely unaware that he is.
You will note, despite all that's happened, that I haven't said Nick should off himself. It's generally not in my nature to say things like that.* I just think he needs to have his ass severely kicked (metaphorically). To be humbled in a way his privileged narcissistic slimy manipulative ass never has (like others here, I suspect this parents never held him to account for anything).
Thus far, the State of Minnesota is doing a pretty good job of that on multiple fronts.
*I think I might have said it about Keffals once, but there's already a high statistical likelihood there anyways (41%, last I heard).
It was more I was so disgusted by Nick on Chrissie’s show I felt the need to yell at my TV, the thread incidentally being on the receiving end is more like collateral damage.
I found parts of it infuriating initially, but now I find it absurd and laughable more than anything.
How the fuck can
anybody believe him anymore? Nick's Interview should be used as an I.Q. test. If you believe a word he said, you should be legally mandated to wear a tard helmet.
Judging by the response though, few did, and that interview was a big mistake.
