Sick of people acting like this when asked "hard" questions. It's journalists' job to ask questions like this and no kissing ass, yet instead of answering the question, they avoid and act like a right bitch instead. Thing is, most of these questions aren't even that hard to give a good answer to, they are unprepared and know their base loves the whole evil journalist shit people like Trump push.

Don't care what political party someone is in, getting asked hard questions and then expecting them to answer is the basic of what we should expect.

Apparently Kamala used to highlight her Indian heritage more but, supposedly, has emphasized herself as a black woman since running for President the last time around. Trump, for some reason, sees this as a sign of her poor character or inconsistency. She was Indian, now she's black! What's the deal with Kamala? Why can't she figure out who she is? Is she hiding something? She's a fake negress!

It doesn't really make sense when you realize that mixed-race people very often have this tension surrounding their identities. Obviously the answer to 'is she Indian or black?' is that she's both. She's a mutt, like many Americans. May well be true that she is highlighting her blackness because she thinks that looks better politically. If so, that makes her look like an opportunist. people are saying she isn't black because she's half black. people have been posting this around saying she's a full indian, but ignore her father is black. last night at the black journalist conference, he kept saying he "didn't know" she was black. trump doesn't have a lot of black/women voting. I guess saying "she isn't black" is trying to trick black voters into voting for him .

I mean, I get it. I know next to nothing about Kamala but someone more informed shared her view that Kamala seems very wooden, lacking in any character and just striving for power (her take based on following the 2020 Democratic Party elections). If that's accurate, tuning up the blackness fits with that image.

But at the end of the day, she's black by American standards. She isn't pretending. If she's playing up a certain type of blackness to get elected, that's just what politicians do. All of them. You might have one who's parents were farmers but then he went on to the national university and spent his whole adult life in high finance. But when elections come around, no one will be shocked when that politician visits a farm and acts like he's always been one of them. It's just what these fuckers do. It happens all the fucking time.
