Karl has lifted most of his show from Maddax at this point. Voicemails, point systems, and news girls were all added after Karl met him. Constantly shitting on John is also likely a case of this. Iirc he practically begged Stut Joe to take him to court so he could have a lol-suit of his own.
Dick absolutely fueled how Karl did his shows, it's been like two years since I listened to anything he did but I remember some stuff.
Voicemails work for Karl better than Dick. Because Karl's shtick is shock jock radio, the voicemails acted as a replacement for "caller, you're on the air."
The Wheel of consequences was actually something I enjoyed because I like dumb shit and the consequences were fun but not something you would want to do. Points didn't work for Dick because he and Maddox disagreed on if the show was a contest or not.
Then we get to John. Outside of him being a retard and laughing at him, I don't give a single solitary fuck about Stut Jo, and poking him to get him to do something is just boring and not fun for me, the listener.
However, his biggest problem is that he chooses topics with a finite amount of interesting things. There are thousands of shitty podcasts, but not all of them are so bad it's funny. There are absurd amounts of insane true crime, but by limiting yourself to categories you run out of categories that make any sense after a while.
And for some lore, Karl was basically my last tie to the Daxiverse because after I fell off listening to his show, the only people even tangentially related to Dick I listened to was Josh, Metokur, Kino Casino, and Elissa Clips. And they only talk about Dick when he does something really retarded, like twice a year or so.
