UK British News Megathread - aka CWCissey's news thread

https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

imagine siding with kikes thinking they actually care about you lmfao hope he never gets out to be honest.
Normies don't have the first clue about the jewish mindset and how they regard the rest of us.

Goyim, aka cattle, should be the first hint....

Truth is, kikes are at war with the "Amalek", aka White Europeans, Palestinians and basically anyone who they don't like and if they could get away with it, they would launch Gaza genocide 2.0 in Europe and the US, while arguing that they aren't doing anything wrong.

"Not everyone attending these protests or posting about the Southport attacks holds fringe views, supports rioting or has links to far-right groups", concedes the article begrudgingly in its third paragraph.

You don't hate Journos enough, and that goes quadruple for BBC journalists.

I'd hazard a guess that the majority of people outraged by this to the point of rioting aren't "far-right" (whatever the fuck that means this week) at all, and are instead just normal concerned people who have a grasp on basic pattern-recognition and remember (and want to return to) a time when they could walk down the streets without worrying that feral animals might have designs on carving up their children in broad daylight. if that's the bar for being alt-right nowadays, then I wear the label proudly.
Well it's fairly obvious but this is less so a far right issue and really a working class issue in their eyes. Far right is just a convenient label because "Le Nazi's".

In reality this is the working class who famously for years have had no say in how this country has been ran have finally had enough of all of the 3r world being put on their door and told to deal with it. Journalists are overwhelmingly upper middle class and this is just their way of trying to shame their opposition which really is them shaming a class of people they see is beneath them.

The UK and it's class system is no different to India.

When 40% of your country is non white there’s absolutely no way the majority of protesters were far right.

Labour just won an overwhelming majority.

How can a people that overwhelming vote labour be far right?

The makeup of the country and recent electoral happenings make it impossible for that to be true.

It’s so ludicrus even the powers that be and the press can’t really keep up the facade of believing it for very long. Especially when they know that a lot of the people raising issues are very establishment.

What's interesting about headlines like that one is the fact that they're seemingly predicated on the belief that anger, outrage and willingness to violence aren't completely normal and natural responses to hearing about fellow countrymen (especially young children) being knifed on the regular by immigrants- and they instead can only be motivated by some form of political extremism.

No, you fucking sociopaths, it's totally fucking normal to respond to shit like that in this way. This is nothing more than an attempt to gaslight the public into thinking that negative opinions on immigrants as a result of their own repeated actions are in some way abnormal and/or purely symptomatic of extremism.

Go fuck yourselves. We see what you're doing.

I think my favourite way of addressing this, especially against journalists is to bring up how they responded to the pro Palestine, George Floyd riots and then compare that to now.

When 3 young girls are killed in a brutal attack with another 10 injured and that were just told to sit there and not look back in anger but when some black tweaker in America overdoses or when 2 sets of browns in another country start blowing each other up again, it's suddenly ok to tear down and burn everything.

They so badly need to get the general public to believe that this is the second coming of Oswald Mosley or the Nazis because once they stop looking at this politically and they look at who's been enabling this instead, it'll be them where the anger will be directed.

Notice how the MSM never slanders or even mentions the "far left"?

I think the closest term I've seen is "hard left" and you can count on one hand how many times it's been used over the years...

The reality is, the jewish establishment is terrified of Whites uniting and organising on racial grounds, because it would spell the beginning of the end for globohomo and it's cancerous agenda.

What topic at hand? I thought this was British news thread
In case you couldn't tell, @1488110 is a /pol/ refugee with nothing better to do than blame the Jews for everything. The only news he cares about is something that he can make about the Jews.

This unfortunate disorder also means he is too retarded to understand how to reply to multiple people in one post.

I'm old enough to remember when you kikes used to kvetch endlessly about Stormfront and spend the majority of your online time trying to convince normies that it's the most evil site on the internet, nowadays it's pol which receives the same treatment....

You hysterical fuckers never change.

I'm a black crustacean.

That’s not really news around that way. It’s how they say “hello,”
I'm so happy I get to post this.

Man shot in the bum as armed police swarm road

A man was rushed to hospital after being shot in Netherton. Armed police officers descended on Fleetwood's Lane, near the canal, at around 3.40pm today (Friday).

The victim, aged in his 30s, was shot in the buttock and was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life threatening, police said. Merseyside Police said it was further reported that a group of males, who were all wearing black clothing and had face coverings, left the scene on two electric bikes.

Fleetwood's Lane is currently cordoned off near to the junction with St Ambrose Croft. Armed police and paramedics were seen on Fleetwood's Lane at around 4pm, shortly after the shooting was reported.

Photos taken at the scene showed armed officers entering the cordon on Fleetwood's Lane, which is outside Netherton Activity Centre. A police helicopter was seen circling overhead and an air ambulance landed at the scene.
arties based on our knowledge of you. More info

Police said officers remain in the area to carry out the initial stages of the investigation, which will include house-to-house and CCTV inquiries.

Chief Inspector Paul Rannard said: “We are in the very early stages of the investigation as we seek to establish why the incident took place and who was involved. Fortunately, the man’s injuries are not life threatening and while I understand this is a shocking incident for the local community, we believe this was a targeted attack.

“To use a firearm in a public place in the middle of the afternoon is clearly extremely reckless and dangerous and we are determined to find the people responsible. We have a large police presence in the area and this will continue to reassure the community and also carry out the initial stages of the investigation.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at around 3.40pm and witnessed the incident to contact Merseyside Police. Please check your CCTV, dashcam devices or doorbell footage and if you see anything suspicious, please let us know. Any information you provide, however, insignificant it may seem, could be vital to our investigation.”

He added: “I would encourage anyone who knows about this incident or has any information about firearms in their local community to come forward and tell us what they know.

“There is no room for guns on the streets of Merseyside and we will do everything within our power to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.”

If you have any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage or information about this incident, please DM the social media desk on Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ with log 677 of 2nd August. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

We're getting pretty close to the point where the public would welcome Mosley or even the great Satanitler himself. No one wants any one of the people in charge any more. Most people didn't even vote. If the ghost of Mosley returned and promised to clean up this mess and punish the people who caused it you would get a landslide. We're very much approaching the stage where 'the far right' has a good chance of gaining power because all the soft right like Reform are popular but things are getting worse and worse.

They really made an arse of that didn't they?

summary, we are not back, nor is it over.
No I don’t think anyone’s assuming the government is going to do a volte face and chuck out all the illegals. The point is that there’s a huge mental block for most people even thinking about this stuff. This will get them thinking. The media will try to make them think that it’s muh far right but it’ll make them think. The next step is talking openly about it. That’s a big deal too, right now you will have your life ruined for speaking openly.
The step after that is the doing. I don’t think we are there yet tbh, but it will happen.
Nobody like starmer outside of liberal metropolitan circles. He’s a failure from the start. He seems weak and indecisive.
People are poor, they’re pissed off. They increasingly feel the pressure. The bread and circuses is cracking and being replaced by the boot. People are speaking openly about subjects that were unknown or taboo just a few years ago.
Children are the line where most people break. If someone hurt or killed my kids I would spend whatever life I had left to be the wind of divine retribution.

The establishment is skating on very thin ice. There is a critical mass of young disaffected men and that’s the kind of thing that brings down empires. The police have been ruined and they’re no longer able to police like they used to. Martial law? Well that’s a big deal, I’d bet the average squaddie is more for the protestors than the establishment. The feel of this is a little different to previous riots, I would imagine there are some very stressed out policy wonks trying to hashtag their way back to docility for the cattle. Even things like huw Edwards - it’s all another little chip at the establishment’s power, as their depravity is exposed. People are seeing what’s behind the veil and they don’t like it.

If the establishment have even a tiny bit of sense, they will woo white Brits back with positive things. Unfortunately they hate us, have zero sense and are beholden to foreign and domestic terrorist paymasters, so they will go harder, and eventually, there will be something very small and inconsequential that starts the ball rolling and then things will kick off big time. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon.
