Top Ten Wii Games
So Harman decided to do another top 10 list, this time on Wii games, and as you can imagine it is awful. It is all a bunch of basic grade 1 praise with no actual reason as to why the game is good beyond. "This game is phenomenal!" One again failing to go beyond stuff like that whilst spreading more and more false information. His first setence when he talks about MP3 Corruption is how he "was surprised at the negative reception when it came out." Yet you can do a quick google search and you can see high review scores, praise of the gameplay, graphics etc and the only negative thing is about some of the motion controls. I didn't know "Critical Acclaim" was negative reception!
He also goes on about pointless speels about how MP3 was the "hardcore FPS game that Nintendo was doing." Failing to point out that Metroid Prime is not an FPS, and claiming the lore is better then games like Dead Space, Halo, Mass Effect and Bioshock simply because shut up I say so.
Once again he tries to use big words to sound like some sort of intelect, yet he comes off as just stupid, claiming that games like Excitebot (yes he puts that on his list.) as the "most unrealistic racer on Wii." Yes Harman that is called being an arcade racer, and yes also Harman there is one on the Switch it is called Crusin Blast, which is way more "Unrealistic" then Excitebot, after all you don't have an Unicorn, a UFO and a Helicopter racing against actual sports cars whilst the helicopter drifts like a car in Excitebot
He also goes on triraids against other people once again, when he gets to Mario Bros Wii the only thing he claims that is great and harps on about it is the multiplayer (which wasn't that unique back then). But also he whines about Scott the Woz for claiming the game didn't look good or that the enemies dancing makes the enemies least serious. Which is fair critisim and an opinon too, but also unlike Harman I'm sure Scott didn't go so black and white too, he probably actually went into details about why he feels this way.
The worst section is easily the No More Heroes section though, lets go through the section first things first he practically shows the intro to the game, like it is some major "Wow look at this game isn't it awesome." Yet if I wanted to see this I would either play the game myself or watch a walkthrough, get to the fucking point! Then when he starts babaling again, he goes on about this being his second favourite game. Showing his hypocritical side again, how many times does he whine about "mature games for mature gamers." yet isn't that exactly what NMH's is?
He also goes on about how Travis grows up as a character throughout the games! Games!? As in the series? So not this one, you are talking about the first game talk about it. Also how does Travis grow up? No fucking clue, he never goes into it. Shocking I know! He then claims it the definitive editon of the game, espeically now that NMH is no long just a Wii game. But again why is that? I hazard it is due to the motion controls, something he claims no one was emulating at the time. Hmmm let's just ignore PS Move and Kinect then shall we? And what do you mean no game was emulating the game. There were 3 DMC games and 2 Ninja Gaiden games that were hack and slash mature games on other platforms so yeah there were a lot of similar games.
He then gets pissy at "The Idiot that critized me on my top ten favourite games list". The "Idiot" in question Jakey didn't critise you for liking the game or you for liking the art style like you claim Harman. He critised you for not going into details as to why you think so highly of this game, minus saying "The game looks good and the combat is cool." Great but that doesn't make someone who hasn't played the game any real infomation as to why YOU SHOULD PLAY IT! You aren't selling the game, trashing other games like Dead Space, Halo, Bioshock etc doesn't make people want to play MP3 more and you simply saying this game is good because I said so, isn't enough for me to go. "Oh boy I best play that. After all the fat Nintendo fanboy tells me to play that Nintendo game it must be good."
But the real kicker is when he mentions about going about wanting to make a video essay (god help us all) about Travis's character when he "Improves his skills as a Youtuber." Only for later in the same section, failing to edit out a part where he coughs and lets out a huge sneeze whilst talking. Hey Harman maybe instead about bragging on discord that you can't edit, maybe learn to FUCKING EDIT!
In his Skyward Sword section, he oddly critises Twlight Princess empty field. Yet fails to point out any legit issues with Skyward Sword, like the wonky Motion Controls, which he claims are the best Swordfighting on the Wii. (Wii Sports Resort says Hi!), the repetitive boring nature of the game, The bosses are "phenomenal", because nothing says phenomenal then playing the imprisoned 3 times and another boss 3 plus times, and yes he doesn't go on about why they are phenomenal either, just they are. He also spreads more false info without evidence, claiming people were saying when the game was revealed it was "The End of Zelda and the Wii." Which no one said, yes there were issues with it on the stage at E3 and it concerned people rightfully. But no one was calling it the end of Zelda.
Most of this 50 minute video basicly boils down to "I like games, so you should", it barely goes into details, but one other stand out moment is the ending. One because I finally got to stop watching this fucking garbage. But what he says "We should celebrate the past" Funny Harman weren't you getting butthurt over other people prefering Mario Bros 3 over Wonder a while back. But now we should celebrate the past, rich as you always seem to prefer all the newer ones other the old ones. Then the best joke in the video pops up "The Wii U and the Switch were absoulte masterpieces of hardware!" Pfft they were unique especially the Switch, being the first hybrid console and being a handheld with the ability to give us near PS3 quality (though not really as the Witcher 3 looks awful on Switch). But to call them absoulte masterpieces is a stretch, for consoles that either underperformed in sales like the Wii U, and in terms of the Switch underperformed in terms of power and tech. It is just laughable.
Shame I can't say the rest of the video was laughable, just painful!
