Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

I mean that's exactly what happened here in the Olympics and it's still pissed jk off

There's no evidence so far that the Algerian boxer is intersex. Could be, but it might just be chicanery and he's simply male. No one knows one way or the other, they only know that supposedly the IBA did a blood test and he's XY (although they never explicitly stated that people are reading between the lines).

For once I disagree with jk Rowling. Painting an intersex woman as a misogynistic and sadistic Tim was really tone deaf and it encourages the narrative that terfs have a very narrow definition of what a woman is. She shot her credibility in the foot and considering that she became sort of a spokesperson for left-leaning gender criticals, it's very disappointing.

I thought the same. She should have focused more on the IOC failing to protect the female athletes, and not tried to spin it into something it's not (a man smirking after punching a woman). We don't have enough information yet, so I really thought she jumped the gun.

Thinking about it that's true, and Rowling basically put the whole controversy on a bad footing by trying to Villainize the athlete when she could have been more understanding and taken issue with the IOC's poor policies rather her herself. And yeah, its a bad showing because she tends to be representative of the side of the anti-TRA movement that's meant to be more approachable to the average person, not some insane groyper posting memes from here, but KF isn't meant to be nice and presentable, and if Rowling wants her positions to be taken more seriously she should try to have some caution about what she says and how she says it.

Even though they're genetically male, they're almost always brought up female due to their characteristics and genitalia.
And? If they're genetically male they have no business in women's sports. Claiming to be a woman is lying and cheating. He has a male body, which is clear to anyone with eyes. Look at the massive shoulders and ribcage and the vascularity on his arms. He's gonna seriously injure a woman some day.

Painting an intersex woman
He is not an intersex woman. Either he is fully male, or a male with DSD. Male, regardless.

when she could have been more understanding
Why? This is a man who is knowingly cheating. He knows he is really male, genetic tests were performed. That sucks for him, but that doesn't mean he gets to compete in women's sports.

The main thing is that its delicate, they may have a condition they probably didn't know about until late in life that probably caused a lot of distress about their body. I agree they shouldn't be competing in Women's sports but the optics of this kind of thing have to be handled carefully so it doesn't look like Rowling is unduly demonizing someone with a rare condition and going out of her way to insult them as a partisan blowhard. Like if I were her I would have said something along the lines of Imane probably worked hard to reach this moment but I don't think its appropriate for a male to be fighting a female in a women's Olympic event regardless of what DSD's they have and that the IOC should be ashamed of themselves for not having policies in place to prevent this from happening, I would have left the comments about them being a sneering man who loves beating women to the side because its just pointlessly melodramatic.

the best case is that they have a severe DSD that causes them to visibly be a gigantic man, one that they've known about for a decent amount of time via prior disqualifications

the worst case is that they're a "stealth" tranny in a country where that's illegal and using that legality as a shield to best women

either way, JK is right, the man should be disqualified, and tiptoeing around the obvious is just kowtowing to retards

an intersex woman
With XY chromosomes and a clitoris the size of a penis.

Also, Rowling didn't say anything about this person being trans. I suppose it's possible this person was born "assigned female" (in the actual intersex terminology), but as reduxx already reported, he and another competitor were disqualified before by the IBA after testing and not meeting the requirements (meaning: have XX chromosomes).
This is a situation where Reduxx and everyone is jumping the gun.

We don't know why specifically this person was disqualified by the IBA. There's a one-off quote from the IBA head talking about a few people who were disqualified for XY chromosomes, but not really anything definitive (ie the type of test and the results) about this person specifically.

Most likely this person has a DSD (versus a more mundane hormone imbalance), and is quite possibly female.

It's incredibly unlikely this person is trans. I think we can rule that out entirely.

The chimping from the GC crowd is really just going to provide ammo later for troons.

She can't help but make this about how women are oppressed. She's just like every woke idiot at the end of the day

In Swyer syndrome they are genetically male (Y chromosome) but the testes don't develop properly and instead they develop female characteristics, sometimes including a uterus. However, they don't produce ovum like females so they would have to have an egg donor and hormone treatment but could theoretically get pregnant through IVF. That's how I understand it, at least. Even though they're genetically male, they're almost always brought up female due to their characteristics and genitalia. Sounds like a difficult life, it's a shame they get lumped in with fetishistic freaks who use them as pawns.
This is quibbling about terminology, so it's not super productive, but I wouldn't describe individuals with Swyer syndrome as "genetically male".

The reason being, the Y chromosome triggers male development because of one specific gene on it, SRY.* Not really the whole chromosome.

When DNA gets copied, if the SRY gene gets fucked up and is nonfunctional or missing, the individual develops as female (that's Swyer syndrome). Or sometimes the SRY gene can get copied to an X chromosome, so you get XX males.

There's other genes on the Y chromosome that aren't strictly sex genes, but the effects they cause are almost always found in males for obvious reasons.

And in reverse, males aren't supposed to have two X chromosomes, so XX males have a lot of side effects, even if they still have the essential male development gene, SRY. (Or like how XXY Kleinfelter patients have a lot of side effects from their extra X.)

I think it might be more accurate to say someone without a functioning SRY gene is still "genetically female", even if they've got XY chromosomes.

But in general, I don't like the practice of subdividing sex with terms like "genetically male", "hormonally male", etc, etc, because it feeds into troon arguments.

Like if a woman has high T naturally or due to something like PCOS or whatever, perhaps scraping into traditionally male ranges, the troons will want to describe her as "hormonally male", instead of what she actually is, a female with a disorder.

But yeah, this is just quibbling about terminology, so not super important.

* And if you really want to get into the weeds, there have been examples of SRY-negative individuals who still develop as male. There's some niche genes that seem to be able to step in for SRY in a pinch, like SOX9. That's an extremely rare anomaly of an already rare anomaly.

Everything I don't like is the holocaust.
Even more ironic is that she falls to the left side of the political spectrum on 95% of issues. Even other LGBT stuff. It's literally on a single, fairly minor issue where she disagrees with current left-wing dogma, and that alone makes her a right-winger in a lot of eyes. Or at least a lot of eyes that belong to very loud and very online faces.
It's this sort of constant "yes and"-ing that is making the trans movement more and more insane. Once an idea is accepted they can't push back on it, but they can push it further to make it even more retarded than what the current orthodoxy is.
Next, a political satire page says black women are really men because they run faster than white women:

There were two people disqualified. The IBA head said two people were disqualified for being XY (not "a few"). It doesn't take a genius to figure out if two people were disqualified, and two were disqualified for being xy, that the two who were disqualified were disqualified for being XY. And it's not a one-off quote. The IBA specifically warned the IOC about this.

Oh, no I know this person in question was one of the individuals mentioned, but he was talking about a group, not talking about one single case and going into the details.

Here's the quote I was talking about:
"Based on the results of DNA tests, we identified a number of athletes who tried to trick their colleagues and impersonated women. Based on the test results, it was proved that they have XY chromosomes. Such athletes were excluded from the competition, "Kremlev said.
I am calling that a one-off quote because later the IBA's official statement said:
Point to note, the athletes did not undergo a testosterone examination but were subject to a separate and recognized test, whereby the specifics remain confidential. This test conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over other female competitors.
This statement makes no mention of XY chromosomes.

This is strangely vague, and no, "confidentiality" doesn't explain why they can't say what test they did that established XY chromosomes. Either it's a proper chromosomal test, or it's something less definitive, which is plenty of reason to just sit back and pause while the whole thing gets worked out.

This is also particularly tricky because the IBA was also booted out by the Olympic committee for probably goofy Ukraine vs Russia woke slapfighting.

Like, I think there's a solid chance that Imane has 5ARD. And that's a totally legitimate reason to exclude them from competing against female athletes.

But the situation is clearly sketchy and we don't have good information yet.

Yes, Imane Khelif is most likely not a genuine troon. But he almost certainly is a man pretending to be a woman, which is effectively the same thing as a troon. I am pretty sure, that just like Caster Semenya he is a man with a disorder and with testes and who went through male puberty.

At any rate, a simple buccal smear and a barr body test will clear up any confusion. If it turns out that Khelif is a real woman, then Rowling and many others should apologise. If.
