“We gather today to honor Chantal Marie Olive Saurault Al Rafae, known online as Foodie Beauty. Chantal is the adored wife of Salah al Rafae, is the beloved daughter of Kim Landry, niece to Phyllis, sister to Natalie, long time best friend to James, and plaything of Buster.
Chantal, first and foremost, enjoyed the cuisines of the world. Her love of food started as a child, and as she grew she expanded her horizons, traveling to different countries to try various cultural foods. Still, she stayed humble and always enjoyed a good cottage pie or grilled cheese sandwich. She had a food bucket list and she confidently checked everything off.
Chantal had an adventurous spirit, overcoming personal difficulties to travel to exotic places such as New York, Thailand, Kuwait, and Cuba. Sadly, her lifelong dream to see Everest base camp was not fulfilled, but she never stopped striving to get there. She often enjoyed long drives in her car, enjoying the Canadian scenery.
Many will agree that Chantal had a quirky sense of humor. She often showed herself exercising on a ball and falling off, or rolling down hills. She enjoyed silly experiences and wanted her YouTube audience to enjoy them with her. She also enjoyed makeup that enhanced her beauty and would share her tips on camera.
Chantal, although not without her problems, provided entertainment for many and she’ll always be remembered.
It is time to send her soul to the heavens. In the words of Chantal herself: Shhh, I said shhh.
