As in he gets the ball moving on the suit, and hopes that once it is in motion the people who backed him before see that he has done the leg work and cough up the funding.

Anything is possible with this fat and stupid guy.

Well they certainly didn't cough up an editor/lawyer, because this is one of the few filings I've ever seen get actually worse for the filer unprovoked.

Apparently at least one of his books had an editor/rewriter help him, and it shows. Maybe fats should have been an idea guy heh.

One of the things so amusing about Pat is that his opinions are carefully crafted to alienate *everyone.* Consider that he is a liberal who claims to be conservative just because he likes to threaten people who disagree with him. Not because he agrees with the right to self-defense, but because he likes to masturbate to the thought of murdering trolls, with guns. It's completely removed from the ethical debate between safety and freedom, it's just about ugly spite.

Usually if the defendant wants to seek fees for a frivolous lawsuit under Rule 11, they have to send a letter warning of the intent in order to do it at the conclusion of the proceedings, to give the allegedly frivolous litigant an opportunity to withdraw the offending pleadings.

We wouldn't see this in the docket unless it got filed for some reason, and I think if they'd actually sent such a letter, the pig would have squealed about it.

That's not necessarily true. Some jurisdictions are very aggressive about pursuing fees in 1983 cases. I don't think Milwaukee is one of them, though.

(I'll note this is more of an opinion piece. I've seen other law review articles a little heavier on facts and statistics but I can't find one offhand.)

Note, the winning party AUTOMATICALLY gets costs, which are usually a tiny fraction of what the fees would be.
