This is so obviously rehearsed too. They called out their pet journo and had them stand across the street to film them pantomime being a loving family.

If it were truly a candid shot, they would’ve very quickly noticed the camera and reacted to it. Real parents always have their heads on a swivel and a weirdo filming them from across the street is an immediate red flag. The fact that they pretend not to notice the camera is a dead giveaway.

He actually believes a lot of it, as does a lot of his staffers. There are obviously issues he departs from Trump on, but it’s not just an act. I’d say that when he was a bit more milquetoast conservative was more the biting his tongue.

Edit: I will say he at least was, and probably still is, not as much a fan of the bombastic and “decorum-less” (for lack of a better term) nature of Trump, but I think he’s gotten more accustomed to it, and the changed nature of the game.
It’s also important to remember that his initial election to the senate was a brutal one, full of mud-slinging, that left a bad taste in many of the more moderate Texans. That absolutely affected the way he conducts himself to this day.

If you want to see the real Cruz, look at his pre-senate record, like the cases he took on as Texas SG. Also look to his closet associates and their records and beliefs. That’ll tell you everything you need to know about his true colors.
I’ll admit some very deep personal bias here, but Cruz is probably one of the most conservative senators we have rn.

A GOP Leader never acted like that, ever. DeSantis’s feud with Disney was a continuation of that. But who knows maybe Musk and Zuck know America turning third world isn’t really in their interests.
