I predict this is Kamala testing the waters. Leak a name, see what republicans respond with, try again if you don't like it. It's an interesting strategy in a dystopian way. If they keep swapping out VP or even presidents because Trump hammers them too hard then not letting the people primary them makes sense. personally, i'm not really sure why everyone is giving such weight to vp picks on either side of the aisle. i've asked a bunch of people IRL about this shit, both sides of the spectrum and all. almost none of them even gave a shit who the VP was, even for trump. most people don't consider that their candidate will die in office anymore, or be 25th'd out, if they even know that's a thing.

vance is also going to be an excellent debater against walz, imo because of where vance is from being so heavily affected by things walz has made himself a political career on. never underestimate your opponent, but don't give them more credit than they deserve.

there is no universe where kamala is benefitted from changing her running mate after this unless walz is revealed to be a full on, outright pedophile or something. it would be a sign of weakness, insecurity, and instability in kamala. this is not something you can fuck around with and test waters. the time for that was last year.
