Abortion is basically a solved issue as far as the American public is concerned, with a super-majority supporting it in the first trimester and opposing it in the third. Killing the child after it survives is deeply unpopular, so this fact ruins one of the only issues they had in their favor, and given their internal polling is showing Trump is winning the EC, that's bad news. Also, in other news, Baris points out that pollsters have intentionally weighed down their polls to white 63% instead of the actual voting amount, which would be around 70%. This is another point of bias being seen in these new polls, and it actually looks like poll manipulation rather than just typical response bias from the other polls.

Edit: Here's a second. Despite poll rigging, poll bias, and response bias to Kamala, Trump is polling higher than he was in 2020 by a significant margin, and even further than he was in 2016 where he won.

Not really? Pence was seen as a relatively benign republican despite his religious views, not a fire and brimstone hardline conservative. He was on the ticket to appeal to moderates and boomers as much as evangelicals and to counterbalance Trump’s boisterous personality. He rolled over and gave up in 2020, remember? Not much of a firebrand. Plus he was from a state that literally voted for Obama just 8 years prior. Alabama hasn’t gone blue since Carter, much like Minnesota hasn’t gone red since Nixon.

Because it's better for them to focus on down ballot races this time and let Trump get bogged down as a last term president who will be kneecapped as he tries to deal with the coming global conflict they've directly set up and the economic collapse we've been kicking down the road for decades. Before Walz I would have thought that was silly but he is clearly more expendable to them politics wise than Shapiro or Newscum.

They have already spent hundreds of millions of dollars going after Trump and everything they've tried has failed, blown up in their faces cartoon style, and rallied his base. They tried removing him from the ballot, his numbers went up. They tried jailing him, his numbers went up. They tried offing him, his numbers went up.

I'm sure they will still try some fuckery and would love to continue their destruction unabated, but if just letting orange man get the top spot saved them cash while they use it to rally and retake the house and maintain the Senate, thereby guaranteeing he won't do shit until at least 2026 and would be a 4 year then done president anyway - yeah I could see them doing that.

Are you fucking for real? The reason Hillary lost 2016 is because even though the polls were fake they weren't actively cheating. This time they are. Even then, Hillary's polling average was lower than Kamala's. 0.6% lead over Trump versus Kamala's consistent 1.5-2% lead in the polls. That's enough of a lead for plausible deniability when they rig the election. Contrary to belief, I don't think Arizona is lost. But Trump needs Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, or Michigan to win. Michigan and Wisconsin are out. No voting reforms were done at all and both states have degenerated into blue shitholes. Pennsylvania is slightly more secure, but not secure enough that cheating isn't possible.

A modest decrease in how much of the US economy relied on farming and equipment is not what I'm talking about and you know it.

The suburban, post-interstate, picket fence, middle class that was built and idolized for the past 70 years occupied the spaces left behind by conquered and liberated nations in ruins. I don't like admitting such things because I don't want my country to be bogged down with everyone else's petty bullshit, but fate had different plans. Simple as.

Admitting this doesn't denigrate American ingenuity, hard work, free markets, etc, etc. Plenty of other nations couldn't do it, and much of the touted achievements of the USSR during the same time only happened because the US had built their manufacturing capacity in the first place, then the America population subsidized their meager existence with free food stores, seeds, and other gibs from individual states/cities during the Cold War.
