Honestly think they were saying that because they didn't want to officially say (lung) cancer without a specialized oncologist and a biopsy. Based on the description, his lungs are destroyed by the tumors but he hasn't mentioned any issues with his GI. His blood count isn't very low either. Hasn't mentioned headache issues, vision problems, jaundice, etc. They can't actually prove metastasis unless they know he's got cancer elsewhere.The word "metastasis" was mentioned in conjunction with the lung issue. That really takes lung cancer off of the table, as metastatic cancers spread to OTHER parts of the body. Metastasis is already a stage 4 issue, so the outlook here is entirely based on how compliant Dragoneer is with the treatment plan.
My bet, based on the basic knowledge that I have of Dragoneer (fat, broke, furry) is that he's got metastatic colorectal cancer.
