Looks like a dumb collision check against a sprite, with shadows being obviously wrong, but technically it could be called raytracing.
I've "played" this "game" for about 30 minutes, and I don't think I can handle much more of this. The "story" starts with a kid (?) who loves his talking dog very much, and has an abusive (???) father:

The house is full of garbage, though, so Nick Rekieta here isn't wrong. Also, this could've been another RTX sighting, but the door conveniently closes before you can step into the light.
The writing very quickly devolves into typical millenial trash, of course:

So now you're going around, trying to find the poor pupper, while being helped by the pedo-wizard. You're teleported into the starting room something like 3 times in the first 30 minutes of "gameplay", so the asset/location reuse is strong with this one. I'm sure it's an epic saga that justifies
12 8 years it took to create it, though.
Oh, and there's no "Exit" button in this "game" so you have to Alt-F4 to close it. I can see why the guy thinks releasing a server binary would be too hard.
