Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Robot Chicken shits on the Sequel Trilogy. There's one for TFA too where they notice the plot holes, but pointing out the shit in TRoS is funnier. You can tell that Robot Chicken hates the Sequels because they don't meme the scenes like they did for the Prequels; they are just pointing out plot holes.
Member gow they actually got George himself on the show? That was fun.

I genuinely think it's because Mike can't admit that his idea that JJ Abrams was a bad idea since he suggested it after watching Star Trek 2009. That and they stopped actually giving a shit about films years ago, especially the new slop getting released.
fwiw I highly doubt he wanted jj to write, same way wouldn't want a plumber pick your perfume. or roundhead johnson: literary genius for TLJ. that's on disney.
or they did since most of their critique was the writing. big part was fart-huffing anyway, star trek being more "high brow" and star wars never trying to hide it's pulp origins, guess which fans they turned out to be.

either way as I said before sw fans can revel in the fact that star trek and in turn RLM got hit way harder by karma than sw. not only got their favorite series corpseraped hard, their favorite captain turned out to be a progtard boomer fucking up his most prominent role (people in the know always were aware mark hamill was a retarded piece of shit) and they got shat on by captain kirk himself. where's that high-brow now, eh?

It's a meaningless distinction because they like the auteur writer-director model of filmmaking. When the director has all the power, he makes shit that only makes sense to him, whether it's Zack Synder or JJ Abrams or Mike Stolkasa or even Lucas. Somehow Lucas manages to be the least hack fraud in that list because I can find enough historical parallels to understand the Prequels. I sure as fuck can't understand Rebel Moon or the Sequels. I definitely didn't find Space Cop funny.

Rich gets mad at the novels and comics existing when he's cited Star Trek novels in videos.
This is also the same Dying Parrot-sounding crooner who once claimed that making an expanded universe around the Star Wars trilogy was like "making an expanded universe around Back To The Future", since...according to him...the story of Star Wars didn't lend itself to any conflict or premise beyond "Rebels vs Empire".

I shit you not. This utter mongoloid actually said this on a public platform, where other adults can hear him gibber these retarded takes out loud.

it is in so far that back then jarjar wasn't known for his writing, if anything people endlessly shat on him for LOST and his mystery box BS.
but yeah lot of fart-huffing in general.

They forgave everything in Picard because the whole TNG crew got together in the TNG ship at the end. Even though that happened in Nemesis and they hate Nemesis.
that's where I eventually noped out (almost there after the id4 re:view) because it was literally just feel-good memberberries that weren't even earned.

Reactions: LORD IMPERATOR
This was also Chris Gore's conclusion.

I would normally give them the benefit of the doubt, but post-Obi Wan review, I have to agree that their Disney Wars reviews are seriously lacking when it comes to analysis. Little Platoon now effectively makes better Plinkett reviews now, EFAP makes better Best of the Worst content, and Critical Drinker makes better Half in the Bag. RLM bumbles about with their reviews because they absolutely refuse to see all the Critical Race Theory infecting modern entertainment. Which is like noticing Type 2 diabetes and refusing to comment on the extra 300 lbs on the patient.
RLM is a bunch of Wisconsin retards who know nothing about movies. They are wrong about everything because Wisconsin is a white nigger state that has contributed nothing to America aside from the gayest sports team in history.
Yes. It's great when Marvel/DC fails. It's great when Hollywood fails. It's great when woke DnD / Warhammer fails. We should all want this because all of these companies are evil and need to be cleared off the board for something better. The problem far too many people have in our circles is the consoooooooomer who just wants their childhood toys back again.

X-Men '97 reaction was the most telling to me because it had a buncha gay signaling with Wolverine and Morph and anti-MAGA messaging and yet half of our circles were jerking off to it. I even had some folk going "it's not woke just because it's got LGBTQ scenes in it!" Gotta draw a line in the sand and I think pride is a sin is a great spot to do so. #SmillerWasRightAgane
Why is this in my quotes? Ain't wrong though. That's why all the culture warriors other than Synthetic Man are grifters.
Ventress went merc, but that's going from Sith Evil to Bounty Hunter evil. And her assassination plot wasn't really a Good v. Evil so much as Sith backstabbing each other like always. Didn't Fennec get a robot stomach and not get revived by voodoo magic?
Fennec like the fox?

TNG was perhaps the worst thing to happen to Star Trek. It turned what once was Twilight Zone in a space loveboat to this weird, pontificating show which had bullshit morality and overbearing preaching. Like how they treat capitalists as scum. Or how they see a lack of religion as enlightenment. Or how they're willing to let people die if it keeps to their stupid Prime Directive. Even the fucking Sith are not that bad. The fact that RLM is blindly devoted to that really is a red flag. Perhaps that explains why they don't point out the SJW influence; TNG's morality was proto-SJW; the farthest to the Left you could be back in the 90s.

Although I suppose DS9 subverting that shit doubles as schadenfreude.

Nigger, did you even play any or games or watch the shows pre-JJ movies? The Federation actively works to preserve the culture of their member races including their own and are primarily a peacekeeping force and scientific explorers. No shit you aren't going to have religious zealots outnumbering the science officers 10:1. This isn't the USG Ishimura filled with unitologists. Its the USS Enterprise. If anything it was the autistic newfags and ban happy discordniggers who don't care and just want the feddies to be exclusively warmongers post-DS9 that were the worst thing to happen to the franchise pushing narratives with current day identity politics that didn't exist back then like you are now.

Yeah this is totally "fuck religion" and "proto-SJW":

They even warn about fearmongers and their witch hunts:

"villains who twirl their moustaches are easy to spot. But those who cloak themselves in good deeds are well camouflaged."

-They see capitalism and the search for profit as evil.

-They see a lack of religion as "enlightened".

-They're willing to let everyone on a primitive world die just so they don't get culture shock from encountering people with Warp drives. Which goes to show their "respect" for primitive cultures goes so far as to let people get hurt or killed. Sound familiar?

-They constantly bitch about how western colonialism is evil, and talk about how a more advanced society coming into contact with primitives is always going to end badly, even though it's the reason why most of the world has modern medicine, electricity, and toilets.

You can't get any more proto-SJW than that.

The difference between that and Lucas was that Lucas was willing to allow alternate views to be tolerated and published under his company. Even though he obviously sees the Jedi as heroes, he allowed others like Karen Traviss to write works that saw otherwise and painted the Jedi in a negative light. Sure, Lucas was a hippie, with him striking at the likes of Ronald Reagan and the Republicans by demonizing corporations and making the head Neimoidian stooge a shot at Reagan, Nute GUNRAY. But Lucas didn't outright demonize capitalism itself, nor did he attack religion. He used the Jedi Order as the stand-in for religion, but fans could view them in a positive or negative light, especially since Lucas in the Prequels gave them enough virtues and flaws to the point where the fans could decide for themselves whether or not the Jedi religion was good or bad.

Meanwhile, Star Trek TNG tells you what to think. Capitalism is evil, and people who seek profit are narrow-minded morons. Colonialism is evil, because it disrupted culture and caused wars. Religion is evil, because it brings the Dark Ages like Inquisitions and Holy Wars. It's basically history viewed by a bitch-made basic-tier liberal viewpoint. Capitalism can be good or bad, since it does encourage greed, but it also encourages hard work and innovation. Colonialism caused wars and disrupted culture, but it brought modern science, economics, technology, and ideas to primitive cultures that didn't have them. Religion unites people across racial and cultural lines and expresses higher ideas like meditation, discipline, and belief in a higher power. But you wouldn't know that from TNG. Religion, colonialism, and capitalism are just the devil, and if you disagree, you're the problem. That's why DS9 was such a crucial shot in the arm for subverting that.

Wake up. That was basically the foundation of all SJW beliefs; the idea that western civilization, religion, and capitalism are the source of all ills. Why do you think the modern SJWs are so eager to embrace nonwestern cultures at the expense of their own people? Why do you think they despise capitalism and vote for socialism all the time, while worshiping at the altar of figures like Che Guevara? Why do you think they yell ''Western civilization has got to go'' in campuses? It's the same belief system. That hatred of religion, capitalism, and western civilization/colonialism is basically echoed in TNG and was the basis of the Left's political belief system from the 90s onward. The SJWs are just the newest form of that.

One of the reasons why I preferred Star Wars over TNG-era Trek was because it wasn't so pompous about things like religion. You can decide that the Jedi are good, and that their emphasis on faith in the Light Side is a strong suit of Star Wars. Or you can decide it's all hippie bullshit and fanboy over the Mandalorians, the Imperials, or any number of non-Force-using factions or individuals in Star Wars. That way, the religious people have their slice of the pie, and the nonreligious have theirs as well. And it's up to the individual to decide which is better. Instead of Picard openly saying that colonialism, religion, and capitalism are evil, you can decide that maybe, Nute Gunray and the Separatists have a point over the Republic choking their trade routes with taxes while giving them nothing in return. Or maybe, Karen Traviss has a point and the Jedi may have a negative impact on some parts of society and the galaxy. Or perhaps they're both bullshit. It's all up to you.

You fags are like a jilted lover.

She's old, fat, loves licking clam, yet you still hold on hope that one day she will see the errors of her ways and come crawling back.

Somewhere this is a sci fi world that you would enjoy, but you are so stuck in what was that you can't enjoy what is.

You need to move on.
That's easy. Just pretend that Star Wars died in 2013. If you need your SW fix, consume the old stuff. Next time someone talks to you about Star Wars, talk as if Lucas closed down the franchise and nothing happened afterwards.

Me, I do that, with some dipping of toes in the new stuff. If it's entertaining, I'll give it a watch, but if it's not, I have more than enough Star Wars to last ten lifetimes, so it's not really something to whine about.

They sound like the exact type of consoomer fags that they made fun of in their nerd crew videos. Seriously, total RLM death. Lucas Reckoning.png

Picking it apart is fun, analyzing why it failed is interesting. There's a site where users do the same thing to people out there on one of those lowercase "I" internets, it's called the kiwi farms.

I haven't consumed any new Star Wars media since S2 of the Mandalorian, which I liked fine and was a good point to quit. I'm only keeping up because I wast to see Disney suffer.

DS9 also set out to deliberately challenge the anti-religious bent of TNG by having Sisko be a messianic figure for the heavily spiritual Bajorans, TNG fanboys tend to be more derisive of it because it actually gave arguments for religion instead of clinging to the myopic euphoria of enlightened humanism.

to the suggestions about toning down the world building and keeping it simple.
which isnt even what TFA does
simple means easily explainable and understandable
TFA is not easily explainable and understandable when it comes to world building
no one can tell how any of the chess pieces got to where they are or the dynamics surrounding them
what the is the first order in TFA?
how did it develop out of the ashes of the empire?
why is the republic which was built on a the rebellion to that said empire not fighting the remnants of that empire?
why is it essentially a privatized military group that is the only thing that is fighting the first order?
none of that is shown or explained to how it developed that way
you don't understand the dynamics of that world
which doesn't keep it simple
jj took out political intrigue for mystery in world building creating just as much nonsense
then look at Star Wars orginal, you can see by the actions of the empire how things got established.
more capable military units and firepower
first scene shows is tiny ship versus big ship
the crew of Leia's ship are easily killed
it completely shows how the empire got to its dominating position
you can already understand the world dynamics just from those scenes without tons and tons of exposition or source books that no one reads
its simple
its understandable
something that TFA doesn't set up as you don't know how the world in TFA works
