Can we talk about Minnesota for a bit? At least California has nice weather. Washington and Oregon is beautiful and cool in the summer. New York City has good food, entertainment, and jewelry. New England has fall colors and seafood. Colorado has beer I guess?

Minnesota is up there with New Mexico as being a completely failed state because I have no reason to go there when not only is it about as cold as Russia, it’s a full on liberal nanny state full of a combination of insane ninnies and poor black people.

Well, I'm pretty sure the blacks are not alone there. Aside from Mayans, I think you could say the same of Native American Indians. They had advancements in farming, hunting and war, but not technological or religion. There are many such groups scattered throughout the world and not all have such a destructive cope. The blacks are probably the biggest such group, though, unless I'm missing one.

I don't believe that at all. AOC is a flak catcher, she attracts all the attention and outrage stories so the rest of the Congressional Democrats can pass their agenda under the radar. It's the same dynamic as Trump drawing fire from the media while Mitch McConnell installed conservative judges, and the diplomatic corps scored some big deals.

She doesn't need to be President to fill that role, and even within her party nobody trusts that idiot with an ounce of power.

The only way AOC is forced out is if they are ready to run her for President.

Everyone knows politics are boring and nothing changes. If you're a boring white dude being boring and not delivering on promises people don't care. If you're loud and annoying and actively causing problems, though, that's a different story. This is probably why we keep seeing older men elected, and we've never been able to get a steady supply of young bucks. People don't like the rash youth, they would rather nothing happens than something bad happen.

Trump is loud and annoying, but he gets his stuff done and accomplishes things. Despite this, people who like what he does still hate him because he's annoying. People will never tolerate an annoying president who fails at doing anything.

Annoying is powerful in politics. In my opinion they'd have been better off trying to fashion a narrative that JD Vance and Trump are annoying blowhards instead of 'weird', but they're stupidly trying to cater to the crowd that never votes.

Oh they vetted him - but given the nature of his choosing it definitely was cursory at best. Not enough time combined with Walz being far enough down the list that many of his skeletons wouldn't come up in time. Doubly so if those doing the vetting were true believers or ignored by Harris' team.

Unfortunately, this isn't new. My based Boomer dad has told me a few stories about dating before he met my mom during the "women's lib" movement.

My Dad told me a story about this one date when he picked up some chick for a date in his car, and during the entire drive to the restaurant, she kept ranting and raving about feminism and how chivalry was a form of sexism. When they got to the restaurant, my dad got out of the car and headed right towards the entrance, without opening the car door for her or waiting for her. After she raised a total stink about what he did, he told her, "Yeah, this isn't going to work" and he immediately drove her ass back home. lol.

Another fun story my dad has told me was when he was at a particular office in the 90s. One of his female co-workers had gotten a new haircut, and at the end of the day, she approached my dad and pointed out to him that he had not said anything about her new haircut all day. My dad's response was, "... And I don't intend to." He told me his logic was, "I'm a happily married man, why would I compliment another woman on her appearance, especially a coworker of all people?" Mike Pence might be a fag, but the "Mike Pence Rule" is undeniably based AF.
