They were much better as Inside Gaming, before Rooster Teeth acquired them and they became Funhaus. 2012-2015 were the real golden years for them boys (and Spoole), they started to decline by the time they became Funhaus though they could still make some magic happen whenever it was the OGs in a video together (Adam, James, Bruce, Lawrence, Joel, Spoole and maybe sometimes Peake). They had unmatched chemistry and banter, and it was often much more intelligent than the whooping and shouting characteristic of Achievement Hunter (a natural comparison at the time).
The mothers be aware demo disk saga still remains one of my favourite things to come out of funhaus. It was peak following them along trying to unlock that song, getting the original developers on for the finale. It was a good ending. It really started to die when bruce left and the whole adam situation really killed it. I do wonder what Adam is up to these days yeah he acted like a degenerate but I feel like he got lumped into all the Ryan stuff.

i only watched RT/AH and FH so i don't what's in a death battle video but how the fuck does it cost 50k per video?
I also don't watch Deathbattle but RWBY (RT's magnum opus) was alleged (as per Barbara) to cost ~$30,000 per minute so other ex-RT productions paying obscenely high costs to produce is on brand. As a price per minute - that amount is insane and more expensive than the next 8 animes combined.

There's probably a way the Death Battle guys could make it much cheaper but that would require actual effort so they'd rather just crowdfund and spend, seemingly.

Demo Disk was fantastic, best thing they did on FH, but Steam Roulette and the gameplay series it spawned are the highlight of both their channels for me. "SINS Episode: Emergence", "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic", "Sims 3: The Cunt Life" and of course Jo Wood's "The Adventures of John Chaser"

It was a genius format too. Sometimes they would just get back to back shovelware, trashing the games as they played, and other times they'd strike gold like with Chaser and that would become the whole video. If they had fun and it got good views then they would make it in to a series.
I forget why they stopped doing Steam Roulette, but they shouldn't have.

With regards to Adam, I've become quite pissed off about it as time has passed. To see the Chris Tyson situation today and how he still has his stans and cronies by his side, still defending him for being literally a pedophile. Adam's dirt is small potatos compared that. The worst thing was that he cheated on his wife, which is awful and he deserves judgement for it but it's disproportionate to say the least and his punishment should be in the hands his wife and however much faith she still has in him. Then all of his "fans" (the subreddit), most of "friends" (co-stars) and the company went full excommunication on him. He came back independently to try and do something new 2 years later, then of course new allegations emerged on reddit and everyone including his "friends" flocked there to drag him through the mud once more. Now he has thoroughly learned his lesson and disappeared. We still got the tranny pedo rapists and their defenders though.

I still watch this video from time to time just to reminiscence. Those and the songs that Bruce would parody for Demo Disk were great.

Joel: I like the Monet-esque lily pads

For a literal Jew fag he was brilliant.

I just realised all of IGs original uploads are gone, now existing on archive channels. I need to back up some of their stuff.

New Regulation Sausage talk had some interesting bits.

at around 8:11, Geoff talks briefly on how he never liked how big RT kept getting. As a result, would always try to create his own little thing within the company when things got too big for him. Which obviously led to AH and then FF subsequently. Also talks about how happy he is with things now that its back to just basically 5 people in a spare bedroom like how it used to be.

11:53, Geoff comments they ended up losing out on the Lets Play channel from WB because when they took it over, they actually made it profitable again. Also remarks that the LP channel simply hadn't been profitable for quite some time. This is quite funny to me because I can't imagine they had THAT much operating cost to run that channel but the new wave dipshits just couldnt make money on it somehow.

at around 17:14 Gavin mentions being excited to see gameplay footage they recorded again, since they're having a ton of fun now vs just never really bothering with them after doing it the first time.

I'm sure theres a good bit more you guys might find interesting but just wanted to drop a few notes. I'm glad Regulation Pod is doing well since they were the only worth while thing left of RT at the end.

how did they fuck it up so badly that LP wasn't profitable? they had a huge gaming library so they wouldn't even need to buy new games for ages and they had years of videos that would give passive income. i'm guessing they just kept hiring more and more people which made it unprofitable, if they had just kept it small it would still be making good money...

Probably just significantly irresponsible with money. I bet when it first took off and was actually doing huge numbers they started spending like crazy but as things started to fall off they didn't cut the spending to match the decline.

The Adpocalypses probably hurt them because Roosterteeth even in the later part of the 2010's wasn't family friendly.
They did bigger production shows like Let's Play Live or Haunter, all which were probably big money drains.
They had 7-ish main talents that needed to be paid, and their support staff (probably another 6-8 people). So that's a lot of money by itself.

Constantly breaking office equipment doesn't help either.

the worst thing they did back when i still watched them was ryan cutting that hole in gavin's desk and putting the motor in it.
After they moved to the warehouse and got new desks Jeremy did a kung fu kick to Gavin's new desk and broke it clean in half plus destroyed like three computer moniters, an Xbox, and probably a couple of other things that were on and beneath the desk. In his defense the desk was already completely fucked to shit before he kicked it, but still, thousands of dollars in damage. Hope the views were worth it.

Edit: Here's the video:

yea i saw a compilation of the destruction they did to their office, the worst thing they did back when i still watched them was ryan cutting that hole in gavin's desk and putting the motor in it.
These videos were funny, but they always made Rooster Teeth come across as disingenuous when they tried to present themselves as a serious company. I imagine working there as anyone but the on-screen personalities would have been a truly miserable experience.

Adam's got the short end of the stick for a few reasons:
- his allegations were outed at the same time as Ryan's, so people mixed up the fact that both of them fucked underage girls and cheated on their wives
- in truth, Adam only jerked off at the office, filmed a sextape without his wife consent, and in the end got catfished hard

The second round of allegations, following his "comeback", was just additional salt on the wound.

Also, since someone posted Ryan's "alleged" Linkedin page, here's Adam's one.

Yeah Adam got shafted hard. I felt bad after the second round of allegations came out and Bruce and James just completely threw him under the bus despite the fact they knew about this shit since Inside gaming but didnt say anything about it until almost 8 years later.

How false must you be if, in front of the camera you all act like friends and what not, knowing all the bad shit your coworker has done, but then after allegations are coming out, you throw him under the bus?

Were you ever friends to begin with?

As soon as the mob came to save their face they threw Adam into it to basically keep their careers. Im surprised James, Bruce, Lawrence and Elyse havent been getting cancelled with some of the jokes theyve said in the past especially early on in funhaus.
It's a shame because when RT died if they have that core of Adam, Bruce and James they could of just started another channel and had the same success.

They sacrificed others to the Blood Gods for a brief period safety and then ducked out of the public light mostly. As long as they keep regurgitating "trannies gud conservatives bad" on Twitter, they are fine.
