What is the most subhuman behaviour? - And why is it littering?

On the surface littering is fairly innocuous, but when you start noticing patterns, things start to become more clear.

My elderly parents loved Paris. They had great memories from their honeymoon. They recently (not during the Olympics) went to visit again and they said they will never go back, it was a shithole. Usual suspects who have nothing to do all day, and cannot be bothered to pick up trash where they live.

I was in London to visit some friends and found myself in one of the enriched areas. I first noticed the littering, then looked around and noticed a lot of women who looked like my pfp.

The littering and garbage everywhere when I lived in the city was bad enough, eventually you can learn to ignore it, but I fucking hate going out into the forest or up the mountain and finding piles of trash. It's bad around where I live. If you drive up any logging road you'll inevitably find dump sites or burned out mattresses and other shit. Most of the easy to access lakes or creeks will have piles of cans or other garbage around it. There's locals who actually go around and try to clean up what they can and the local landfill will waive the dump fee if it's garbage you've collected that's been dumped illegally but the garbage in the woods seems to get worse every year.

People already hate smokers. Don't make it worse by smoking around children and tossing your damn butts everywhere.

Long time ago, I managed a local grocery store and these non english speaking African women would make hand gestures and sounds with their mouth to try to make me figure out what they needed. One day I got tired of it and said NO SPEAK AFRICAN. Good thing my boss was an older Hispanic dude who understood my frustration.

I hate sounding like a boomer but I swear common decency used to be well, common.

Being obnoxiously loud without caring for the peace of other people; being a disgusting moron who urinates on public property when they have a restroom less than a block away; of course, littering; smoking where you shoudn't and/or without caring for others; throwing cigarette butts on the floor (or even grass/near the river/near natural spaces/etc); plucking flowers from places you shouldn't (like a public botanical park), etc.

This is a personal pet peeve of mine. I have lived abroad and it made me realise how much already not sharing culture alienates you (was an English speaking country tho), I cannot imagine not being able to make basic conversations. I always use the example of a simple exchange with a cashier when I talk to people about why being an immigrant sucks (if you are able to feel shame).
