Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Yeah, sorry dude, you're going to need to get it through your tiny, needle-shaped head that Nintendo didn't control the pricing since they didn't publish it.
Niggers mad at stickies get the rope.

I'm glad that Xeen was able to overpower whatever censorship board still exists at squenix for the Romancing SaGa 2 remake. For context this is Jeanne, the chieftain of the amazon race you can recruit in the game. Compare her thighs to Tifa getting censored twice over

Another random NSO announcement. No blue version, since that was a DS title.
No DS titles is really weird considering they were on Wii U. I know it only has one screen, but there are emulators on phone that make most of the games playable by either putting the phone sideways or lettting the user switch between screens. Even the Wii U had a functional single screen options for DS emulation, so Nintendo themselves have made it work in the past.

There’s no easy way to do touch controls in docked mode. They could let you control a pointer with the right stick so you can kinda sorta tap things like in unofficial emulators, but Nintendo would never do that.

They use tilt controls to control the pointer in games ported from Wii U that require touch like 3D World. Games like New Super Mario Bros or Mario Kart DS use touch controls less than 3D World. I bet they release them eventually, especially if the same library of retro titles is available for Switch 2. I think they're rationing out the games so they always have a steady trickle of new stuff to put on the service to try and generate buzz. I think that's also why they're holding back some high profile games for systems currently on there such as Super Mario Land 3 and Wario Land 4.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about gyro. That could work well enough, but touch-heavy games like WarioWare Touched are definitely not happening without a disclaimer that says “hey dumbass, don’t play this on a TV”.

OG mystery dungeon is neat, and surprising since the remake is on switch. Game freak remains retarded and paranoid about the ip and refuses to let the main series gen 1-3 games on nso, but that's par for the course. Starfy being added without translation doesn't annoy me, but the fact that it was added and other untranslated games remain exclusive to the japanese nso does. Sad that genesis support seems to have straight up died, but I did get a convenient way to replay shining force 1 and 2. The lack of smash 1 on n64 is really weird.

So I picked up the Monster Hunter Stories port for Switch and I'm sad to report it has the "choose your body type" bullshit that has infested a lot of modern games. I should have known better.

Bro, I wished people would be more open about this shit. I haven't touched mines in weeks.
I think most people have been surprisingly open about the terrible build quality of the Switch for some time. Sure it gets drowned out by nintendo's acolytes screeching but if you pay attention, the proof is there.

I mean, the joycon drift has been meme'd as something inevitable no matter what and I have yet to experience it despite the console has been my main platform for 3~4 years (V2 model then the OLED right after its release). The worst that happened was to manually replace the plastic tips of the joysticks, on the OLED, that did wear off after heavy use.

That being said, leaving off an electronic device completely discharged and over a long period is bound to damage it regardless, no matter the build quality. I've been lucky so far with the Steam Deck despite it happened a few times already as its poor battery retention always caught me off guard (doesn't last a week of sleep from a high charge). But the Deck also keeps gathering dust, in between one week of use every blue moon, so I should as well consider to sell it to someone more interested.
