Would a primary source of that be statistics of crime rates by race? Then, the secondary sources would be news reports as an example. I would see a conclusion being supported by a primary source. However you'd interpret that is up to the individual. It's not like Wikipedia makes interpretations of its own. See Donald Trump.

Wikipedia -should- not make interpretations of its own. That is one of the two problems with it, its editors absolutely are.

The point of an encyclopedia is to provide information. The point of Wikipedia is to provide a surface level understanding of any given topic or subject. Raw data, and by extension leaving things up to interpretation, doesn't allow that. A single factoid is not an understanding. Idealy, wikipedia would be neutral and allow one to come to their own understanding after reading balanced and fair article. Wikipedia fails utterly at that, but its not due to an inherent issue with intent or design.

We can knock out two birds with one stone by allowing conservative sources and also allowing primary sources. If your problem of needing surface-level information is true, you could just have a simplified version of the site, but I doubt it's as big of an issue as you make it.

Conservative sources are already allowed per the rules. See the two issues with Wikipedia as it is now for why they are not 'allowed'. That again is not a flaw with Wikipedia itself but rather a flaw with its good-intentioned but realistically fucked founding.

If I were to suggest a real solution, make it not publicly added to. As is, whichever side is more tech savvy and more personally engaged with politics is the one who sets its tone. And the problem is that is a lot of progs.

Also, adding in primary sources just means they will be overriden by the secondary sources interpretations. See again, the two issues with wikipedia.

That is so true. You can get away with a little bit of 'real' Britannica style sources in papers, but using wiki as a source even from the start was always a big F. I simply never understood why people use lazy sources. You can get an A on a good university paper if you just go to a real library and use an ISBN (most teachers don't even think of checking if those are real, but no need to fake it) and you can quote and parse most of your paper.

I got lazy a single time in high school and lifted an ancient encyclopedia entry and they busted me. The main thing lit and research/STEM teaches you is more how to research than what you actually produce unless it's some doctorate or Masters thesis.

Higher level math is the same way, they don't care so much about the 'final true answer' if you make mistakes. Show Your Work. It's about the problem solving capability which is what IQ tests are supposed to be about. Pattern matching and problem solving under pressure is the core of what academics and the real world are about. That's why being able to solve number series and timed pattern matching IQ tests are a very accurate and constant life long measure of your intellect ability and why people hate them because most people are around 100 and that's average.

ETA Sorry for the rant, but people that say stuff like 'IQ tests are meaningless' need to look at damn IQ vs income studies among everyone. There's a very direct matching. Nobody knows how much nature vs nurture is going on with these, but my bet is a lot on nature.
