The developers in Korea decided to keep the raised age rating as a result of their government's corrupt rating board, so yeah, this really isn't even a point.
On the topic of the ReZero anime, there was a theory that the cause of the changes was because it was a bit earlier on during the day. I'm more willing to believe that is the actual cause rather than Kadokawa going peak ESG (That's a separate discussion entirely).
