One of the most obnoxious things he does comes from how he delivers every jokes like he's expecting the laugh. It's not just the pacing, but the tone as well. Good comedians make telling a joke basically effortless, using the same tone and cadence of telling a story or holding a conversation.

Nick always tries to joke-rape his audience by delivering every "joke" with the tone of laughing at his own joke before he even gets it out. It comes across as very smug, like he knows he has a zinger, and the audience exists to give him the feedback he wants. He insists on the joke's humor, rather than letting the joke land naturally.

The Denny's Joke is probably the best example of this. Just look at how hard he tries to force that joke down Kurt's throat in an attempt to force him to laugh.

Null needs Barnes's bullshit to make his case it is in the public interest to release the Rekieta bodycam.

It should be more. Here's my list YMMV

1. The state took children away from a resident in good standing that is admitted to the MN bar with no criminal history. Part of the basis for that removal was the condition of the home. The PUBLIC has the right to see what conditions triggered that removal beyond the word "cluttered."
2. Rekieta disputes that his home was in a condition that warranted removal.
3. Rekieta has alleged the person that took custody of the children for KCHHS lied to the court.
4. Directly and through proxies, Rekieta has alleged malfeasance by the police, prosecutor, the courts (GAL) and KCHHS.
5. Confidence in child protective services is always a public concern and releasing the body cam footage will help determine if that confidence is misplaced.

At the very least, ask the court to order a redacted version (juvenile faces and identities removed) of the body cam footage to ensure the public that the condition of the home was such to justify removal. The public needs to know what constitutes justification for child removal to remain confident in KCHHS. Statements by Rekieta make the bodycam release even more imperative as he alleges it was not justified. Transparency requires the release of the video so the public can assess whether Rekieta's claims have merit and whether confidence in KCHHS is misplaced.

Parties to the case should be ordered to respond to the motion with whether they consent or object to releasing the video and what would cure their objection.
