Sony posted another animated short, which is just as pointless:

My god they forgetting a very important thing with these shorts.

There nothing tangible for me to grasp onto here. Why should I care about this guild, or why these women want info on it?

This is the second short, and all the info I have on this setting is. Guild bad, and some bootleg borderland bandits hate scrappers., and work for someone called the salt lord.

So far the only design that looks even slightly appealing is the robot lady.

(Please tell me this is a lady I beg you.)

These shorts have failed to establish a basic background for me as a person who has never played this game or looked into it (Outside of video coverage about how fucking ugly everyone is) to even start caring about these people and this "story".

Who the hell is this meant to attract? Surely not people with money or good taste?

Why can't these fuckers make one good looking black woman in these games? like just take naomi campbell circa 1990 and put her in dayglo spandex or whatever zoomies like.

At this point I'm just assuming they hate black women and want everybody to think they're all ugly.

And we're already getting the usual Soynys trying to futilely defend Concord:

There also doesn't appear to be a preload for PC players, so the PC player base was an afterthought, as to be expected with a Soyny game.

Imagine failing to upstage a twenty-year old game in lore-building that has half the run-time.

IMAGINE, being worse at worldbuilding than THIS:

I preordered the $80 version of this game and I can't play it. It's because the characters are too hot and give me boners.

I have beautiful computer desk. A big, heavy oak slab, the type you'd see in an executive's office. An antique. I booted up the game to play it and when I saw the fat black character with her broad nose, overly detailed pores and pronouns, my cock just shot up like a rocket. It was so intense that it sent the desk flying. It lifted that thing clear into the air and right into the wall. Now I have a wallmounted desk and about $3,000 worth of repairs to do.

10 years ago you would've told me they were going to make a show based on the universe and tone of Unreal Tournament and I would've freaked out at the idea of megacorpos, scantily women in futuristic armor telefragging motherfuckers left and right, and a plot that's the lovechild of Battle Royale and Running Man with more gore and lead than WWII.

Today I have no hope it'll even reach "mediocre" status.

Even though it's still Early Access, the Twitch viewer count for Concord is a joke for a new game, compared to the Monkey game that Concord and Dustborn Simps are seething about:

You know what? I can choke back my bile for a moment at at least grant the devs of this soon-to-be corpse one thing: they at least tried to make something new rather than bastardize an existing IP for this. Even if it is just attempting to ride the hero shooter craze well after its peak.
Sure, it made it about five seconds before suffering explosive diarrhea, and to people that have up to high-functioning autism it would be a great moment to step back and do a little introspection on why this game looks poised to shit the bed hard enough to ruin the floorboards. I don't expect that to occur to more than one or two members of the dev team, as I doubt they're burning their own money for this pyre, but I also didn't think they'd have the stones to fail with their own ideas rather than hollow out another well-regarded franchise.

I stole this screeshot from /v/
Those tags and that PSN requirement, lmao.
My only wish is to see the people involved in this be publicly flogged.

Bonus kek.

I'm actually really glad Steam added tag support and -- more crucially -- the ability to filter/hide games as "not interested" if they have certain tags. I haven't seen an "LGBTQ+" in the storefront for two years, and it's been delightful.
