It’s fine to do adversarial interviews but Elon sucks at interviewing. He just let Trump ramble about random shit and was dickriding him the rest of the time.

I'm still not sure what that was supposed to be. They prefaced and emphasized that it wasn't an interview, but a long form, low pressure conversation. He then goes on to do a fairly poor 2 hour interview. I was genuinely interested in listening and I got bored at times. While it probably was one of Trump's softest interviews to date, the dick sucking wasn't much worse than when MSNBC is talking to someone they like. It's just a slightly different dynamic since Elon isn't a media entity.

I just don't really get what the EU was freaking out about. Before the interview they were rustled, but all the headlines after were that it was a total flop. What did they think he was going to say? "Tiocfaidh ar la?"

If there was any movement on that, we would know it like a month and a half in advance because by RNC's current rules, in order to choose another VP they'd have to recall the entire republican convention and change the ticket. On top of that, it would require them to have done this before deadlines. A few states deadlines have already passed. This means that they would require Trump's VP as a write-in.

Null made a large post about it. If I recall, the title of the post was "Where the sidewalk ends" and it details exactly how Trump's erratic behavior could fuck up free speech as we know it. Null gave an indepth breakdown of how repealing Section 230 would put the legal onus of what is said on a provided platform by a user, on the provided platform's owner.
Extreme Example: Someone fed-posts on Kiwifarms, If Null does not capitulate to the government's demands to censor in a way they deem fit, they can pursue legal action against him.

Keep in mind this was all happening because before Musk bought Twitter, the hashtag "#diaperdon" was trending and Trump was seething so hard he almost went scorched earth on the entire US net

I was more referring to the difficulty in getting him to stay on message, change the focus, or basically do anything a functioning adult would do in his situation.
