Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

it's insane to me. all this footage of ukrainians peacefully marching through villages, waving to the locals, giving them rides, chuckling when they run up to say "slava ukrani" and going on about their day. Juxtapose it with russians soldiers raping women in the snow and shooting civilians and unarmed people in the street during the start of the 3 day special military operation, and people still have the audacity to call the ukrainians terrorists.
Could not agree more. I understand why the locals are being polite and supportive: they live 10 miles from the Ukrainian border. The ones that haven't already evacuated know that the Kremlin's full of shit and that their biggest risk at this point is being shelled by their own Russian military.

It's just refreshing to see them on the move and not destroying every village on the way like those barbaric steppemonkeys.

pisscord of all web apss still works for them

> German authorities transmitted the arrest warrant to Poland in June after they were able to identify the man thanks to photos and statements from witnesses, Die Zeit reported. According to the German media, however, it’s not clear why the Polish authorities failed to arrest the man and didn't respond to Germany’s request for legal assistance.
He just happened to live in Poland and decided to leave the country for a summer vacation. German police were too incompetent to submit the arrest warrant to the proper authorities, and so he was not apprehended at the border.
The Hyena of Europe strikes again.

If the US Military broke at the first sign of enemy contact, abandoned my home to foreign invaders, then proceeded to bomb me, completely missing the enemy...I think I'd be pretty pissed about that.

Thank God Ukrainians are a civil people and are treating the locals well and the locals return the courtesy.

Call it pedantry but I don't think this is using a hybrid's battery, considering they use fairly standard lithium ions. The car they got this from is likely from a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, which are rare cars to the point that I actually have never seen one on the roads irl. The picture provided looks like the high-pressure hydrogen tank from a Toyota Mirai.

I’ve worked with fuel cells and I have no clue how they could be turned into a bomb since they’re just platinum plates and carbon.

Was the explosion from the hydrogen tank? That’s the only way it makes sense to me.

In the reporting it was also mentioned that there were plastic explosives. Sounds to me like they just strapped bombs to the hydrogen tank.

Quick google gives me this for the damage from a ~17kg accidental hydrogen explosion, which is 2-3 times what you'd find in a Toyota.. :

Not absolutely enormous but probably worth it if you find a tank lying around.

Desperately under supplied soldiers hopped up on amphetamines driving German tanks into Russia? Man history really does repeat itself.

Meanwhile in reality OSINT autists have geo-located satellite images showing Russia hastily constructing defensive fallback lines 10s of kilometers from the border:

Now I'm no strategic genius, but that seems like an odd thing to be doing if the Ukrainian incursion is basically already defeated.

Ukrainians charging through Russia hopped up on Pervertin would be a funny if unlikely image.

Plus, what exactly are trenches going to accomplish here? Convoys are already getting blown to smithereens by missiles, the only difference trenches really make are the Russians are digging their own graves ahead of time. And having defensive fortifications means nothing if the people manning said defenses are fucking worthless and are doing what Russia thought the Ukranians would do when this whole shitshow started in the first place and running at the first sign of concentrated military might.

I have to wonder if what's happened is Russia simply can't send actual quality soldiers (whatever that's worth in this context) because they're all down at the Eastern border, with the gaps literally everywhere else filled with newbie conscripts that wouldn't have to do anything but stand around giving the impression they're adequately manned defenses. To pull from the main theatre to reinforce the ever deteriorating Kursk Oblast situation would thin the lines and the Ukranians are very good at exploiting Russia's lack of manpower in critical areas.

And we still don't even know what Ukraine is trying to do but man oh man this is turning into their D-Day.

How many more able bodied men will they be able to moobilize before they run out of ethnic minorities (Buryats, Yakuts, Chukchi, Tats, Evenkis, etc)? Because when they will go for upper-middle class from bigger cities, people won't be so indifferent.
As I recall, Russia is already pulling "mercs" from Africa and India, often under false pretenses of more conventional work but then when they actually get to Russia, they're handed a shitty rifle and told to march to Ukraine. Disposable, cheap, and most importantly the Russian general public is none the wiser.

The full article I quoted states it was from a salvaged Toyota Mirai.

More surprised that more ethnic minorities aren't rioting over being treated as so disposable. Russian rule really broke any sense of dignity those people ever had.
Its more because they are vodka & drug addicts who's family will care more about if Shoigu and Gerasimov don't deliver the fat paycheck than if their son gets redmisted in the umpteenth failed meatwave assault on whichever random town in the Donbass is currently the "lynchpin" of all Ukrainian defenses everywhere...

Imagine if the US started "mobilizing" Tyrones with promises of fuckhuge paychecks and even a new car to their families.
Would all the mommas and baby-mommas care more about their men coming back in body bags or the government not delivering that fat paycheck and sweet new ride?

Ziggers everywhere have been calling this the Ukrainian "battle of the bulge."
They said the same shit about the Kharkiv Counter-offensive, yet here we are.

Something I think about are efforts to mobilize and which ones prove most fruitful, because these are important lessons western leadership will no doubt be looking into. Its not such a crazy hypothetical really, it both fills boots and helps prop up the consumer economy at the same time

Does "fela" in "FelastoryMedia" stand for "fellatio"? "Real Global News" lmao, what kind of shithole runs this totally legitimate media entity? The whole thing is 1 in 1 Kremlin talking points.

You don't get it comrade. They report Kremlin talking points word for word as that's the only reliable source of information. Not like that western pigdog media and it's preposterous insistence on blatant lies, like saying Ukraine is still advancing in Kursk or claiming the VKS is currently about as useful as a cock flavoured lollipop.

Russian army is setting up the ukranians for a epic encircling!
No no comrade. They are "shaping the battlefield to create a cauldron" get your terminology right or no retarded zigger fellow patriot will ever take you seriously.

Ah sweet, more retarded Russian vaporware cutting edge military hardware. Not gonna lie, the fact that they're touting a 1960s era arty tube slapped on a truck as some sort of massive innovation is fucking lulzy: https://armyrecognition.com/news/ar...manned-ground-vehicle-armed-with-122mm-cannon

One of the most striking features of this system is its remarkable firing range. The D-30 howitzer, mounted on the UGV, can engage enemy targets at a maximum distance of 15.3 kilometers. This extensive range provides the UGV with a significant strategic advantage, allowing it to strike from a safe distance.
Bear in mind that "extensive range" is with a RAP and is wildly inferior to even 105mm Western guns like the L118/M119. Actual 155mm self propelled guns mog this thing so fucking hard.

Equipped with an automatic loading system, the vehicle can carry and fire ammunition without human intervention, significantly enhancing its operational efficiency and reducing the risk to personnel in combat zones. The MTS-15 chassis, designed for high mobility across various terrains, further enhances the UGV's operational capabilities.
Unless it breaks down, or jams, or slips a track or even simply gets stuck. On the plus side the whole remote control thing is limited to just 500m, so at least they're still basically on hand for when it inevitably shits the bed.

Also since we're talking about shit from the Army Expo, Rostec has unveiled a bunch of new ammo for drone hunting:
Rostec ammo.jpg
Two types of ammunition are being displayed to counter small drones—IGLA AnDr and IGLA Vector AnDr. Both cartridges are 12/76 caliber and are designed to hit low-flying drones using the kinetic energy of their projectiles. The IGLA AnDr is loaded with either No. 0000-5 lead shot or 6.2-8.5 mm buckshot. The IGLA Vector AnDr is equipped with a red tracer element for visual tracking, allowing shooters to adjust their aim in real time.
Now I know what you cynics are thinking. You're thinking that just sounds like normal shotgun ammo except with a bit of tracer so you can see how badly you missed the drone in the split second between you missing your shot and it blowing you the fuck up, but that's where you're wrong.

These cartridges differ from standard hunting and sporting ammunition by using a specific powder with enhanced characteristics and heavier, hardened shot. This design increases effectiveness against drones, which often contain durable plastic and metal components.
See it's totally different to the shit you buy at the local sporting goods store, now pls gib huge expensive military contract, sincerely Rostec execs.

RKN is Roskomnadzor, government entity overseeing censorship in the digital space, among other things, not an ISP as you might've thought. With that in mind, their only client is Putin.
Worth keeping in mind that this regime would happily compensate these companies for the damage with taxpayer money or tell them fuck off. It's their way or gulag, after all. This ain't a normal country by any stretch of imagination, so I wouldn't really expect much to result from this.
Their and them refers to the ISPs, not RKN

And still can't do shit against all the drones that keep flying in and blowing up the refineries.
The columns of Russian reinforcements trying to get to the invasion zone apparently can't do shit against the drones that keep flying in and blowing them up either lol. Doesn't help them that instead of waiting and assembling proper forces the Russian command is doing what Russians do when something unexpected happens. Instead of being calm they're freaking out, they keep frantically sending small columns of trucks crammed with soldiers + dribs and drabs of armored vehicles, with little to no anti-air protection of any kind, which are getting fucked up bad by hohol drones. Zhukov is flipping tables in his grave

The Kursk offensive not being responded to with nuclear retaliation, or at minimum effective conventional force sets the precedent for the retaking of other ill-gotten Russian territory such as Kaliningrad, Karelia, South Ossetia, and Karafuto Prefecture and the Northern Territories. This is especially damaging to Russia's international credibility in the long term.

It may not be acted on immediately, or even for years, but all of Russia's disputed territories will likely be carved up within a few decades.

I hope just fishing in the river Styx with Eisenhower and enjoying a "white" Coca-Cola, laughing his ass off at this bunch of degenerate Cossacks who can't stop buttfucking each other long enough to put together anything but yet another Blyatskrieg while the Ukrainians run a train on 'em in Kursk.

Ahh yes, arms expos, where 90% of the stuff shown won't make it out of the prototype stage, 9% are made in such limited numbers they're functionally useless (Looking at you SU-57 and T-14), and 1% are actually mass produced.
