I want to first clarify that I completely agree that the pronouns are unnecessary. on the other hand though, the publisher doesn't matter in this instance. it's the reader, and if this OP may hit mainstream, it would be extremely easy to discredit for most normies BECAUSE of that misgendering. they see the "he" and they stop reading.
