Another reason may be because there aren't many people from old Roblox, and the few people that are don't justify digging out old executables, fixing security holes, and updating the game to work on newer operating systems. Imitation already exists in the form of The Classic event.

Novetus is just a launcher and doesn't feature any sort of website, plus it doesn't use dedicated servers like how Roblox does, instead you have to host your own servers via port forwarding. And the creator is... something else.

Retrostudio is alright, but at the end of the day it's a buggy simulator moderated by twats.
The Classic is one of the worst events I've ever had the displeasure of playing on Roblox and that's saying a lot considering most of the "events" nowadays are godawful sponsorships. None of the games in the event were even old, the oldest one featured was from 2018 iirc. Oh, and one of the games featured was "Skibidi Tower Defense", that should tell you everything.

I could insert a 32-page rant about The Classic event, but that right here is probably my biggest grip with the whole thing.

There was no excuse why, there's still so many old ROBLOX games that are still active, like Work at a Pizza Place, Natural Disaster Survival, Hole in the Wall, Catalog Heaven, Roblox HighSchool [Legacy]. You could even just get one of those thousands of Build a Boat, Minigames, Doomspire remakes and call it a day. But of course we gotta have a "Tiktok Simulator as one of the main games".

Oh well, gonna stop rn before I derail the thread too much.

the little kids who play roblox now don’t want to play the actually good classic games, they want all the garbage that’s made today (all the simulators and pet games) if they actually had all the classic games the servers would be filled with people in their 20s who still haven’t gotten over roblox saying “back in my day we only had 2d pants and shirts!”

Technically FNAF is a story about a middle aged guy luring children with colorful decorations, killing them and stuffing them into big animal suits with lots of cables, so the resemblance to an average Roblox player is pretty clear.
