It's actually insane how thoroughly these types have taken over Reddit. What you say is no exaggeration at all. I saw a post on one of the main subreddits yesterday about this lawsuit being filed, I don't think it was even a tranny-related subreddit either and pinned at the top of the comments was this insane rambling speech by one of the mods about "TERFs". Must have gone on for 1000+ words. Normally on those types of threads i.e. ones that aren't ideological echo chambers, I'll sort by controversial to get to the real comments since everyone else is just pandering for updoots but even that doesn't work anymore. Literally every comment, even when sorted by controversial are just "Good. I hope she makes JK and Musk pay for what they said!" or something of the like. Anything that isn't just some variation of that is immediately removed by mods and the thread locked.
I saw the exact same post you did! The mod rambling was literally unhinged, I skimmed it and it was literally conspiracy theorist shit titled "TERFs Always Lie" about how evil and diabolical and malevolent any woman who objects in any way to the trans movement is, it was legitimately "get thee to a psych ward immediately" type material. I don't understand how people say that kind of shit and don't have people genuinely worried about their mental health - and they
would have people worried if they were talking about basically any other group of people except "TERFs" who it's perfectly fine to go all tinfoil hat conspiracy crusader against, apparently.
There was another top post I think yesterday about the issue and the title was "Transphobia is a brain disease" or something like that with a picture of JKR on it. And again, as you noted, not even a trans related sub, just a supposedly "normal" sub (do those exist anymore on Reddit?). And again, if you go in the comments even if you sort by controversial, there's absolutely no disagreement or questioning whatsoever, just the cultish adherence to the narrative at all costs.
And like... Reddit has been campaigning against JKR for ages now. I can't tell you how many threads I've seen derailed in the last week alone - which had nothing to do with JKR originally even! - by "lulllls JKR has black mold" jokes and similar bullshit completely out of nowhere. So it doesn't surprise me. But it's curious that this website full of libertarians, finance bros and men who really really love to use slurs against women didn't even have a single person pipe up and ask "Hey, is being able to deport people and have them imprisoned in a foreign country for saying mean words on the internet a good precedent?" Or I guess rather, maybe they did ask but were immediately deleted by the dedicated tranny mods. It's shocking and concerning either way.
It is genuinely weird and upsetting how totally single-minded most of Reddit has become. The echo chamber is real. (And well, in my own tinfoil hat moment, I seriously suspect that a lot of people pay a lot of money to shape the opinions of people on Reddit. And we know there are quite a few tranny billionaires and millionaires out there - you know, all those guys who made their money and then "became women" once they were secure in their riches.) I don't for a second believe all those Blue Maga dudes, or the total Hasbara takeover of /worldnews, for example, are completely legit normal people who just
happen to have only created accounts to push certain political perspectives and absolutely nothing else ever, lmao. Trannies probably have their own bots too.
