I read that book about a decade ago. Giant cope for sub Saharan culture peaking at the edged weapons made of bon an stone and 101 things to do with animal feces. Meanwhile in Europe the fucking renaissance is taking place, men like Martin Luther are openly questioning thousands of years of religious dogma, men like Leonardo Da vinci are inventing the fucking helicopter before there were even internal combustion engines. I go on for pages the things The euro descendant man explored/created/challenged in the same century as sub Saharan Africa was being explored. Even in the last 100 years, what has it been good for? The Boers had a good run making places that looked like citys with running water and hospitals. The Rhodesians created the "Breadbasket of Africa". It's all soon dead and dying now, slowly returning to the way things were 500 years ago.

My understanding is the only thing left in the Sub Sahara are minerals, things like cobalt for Lithium batteries and such. Now someone correct me if I'm wrong here but, I have always believed Nato and commies began fighting over who the natives would do business with, this being the cold war "Yellow cake" that could be used to be refined to nuclear grade materials were the real goal. When they both decided Rhodesia South Africa and other countries, were "conquerors" of poor ingenious people and wanted to step in as saviors and scoop up all those precious minerals from Diamonds to Uranium by playing the white knight.

I find it funny how there is always this shit split with Jews, but you can easily do the same with any demographic. There’s probably some truth to this. The concept of property requires a high-trust society, and to enable high trust you need a culture that values cohesion. Africa as a whole is just…not like this, and you can see that mentality amongst African Americans. They’ll steal and murder each other at astronomical rates and unite together if it’s to put another ethnic group down. The tribes of Africa were always fighting amongst each other and there was seldom room for innovation to begin amongst an insulated ethnic group before they, too were either genocided or assimilated with another tribe.

Africa is a fascinating case study of evolutionary stagnation. I’ve heard fingers pointed at the aggressive fauna and the climate, but I personally think (and would not admit this irl) it’s a combination of Africa being a hotbed of debilitating diseases due to its tepid climate (malaria, which can be transmitted from the mother to her developing foetus, can cause permanent brain damage and is the reason why Africans tend to have some sickle-shaped blood cells to combat it, but as a result they can become sick with Sickle-Cell Disease) and the natives lacking development in certain parts of their brain. There are several examples in history of an advanced culture making contact with a primitive one (e.g The Chinese with the Japanese, the Western Euro’s with the Northerners), and these primitive cultures gradually partaking in feats of ingenuity and building sophisticated empires. This seldom happened in Africa, unless they were under Arab, English, or Dutch colonial rule (like the Mughals in India). These countries are now long severed from their oppressors, so why aren’t they succeeding? I genuinely have no idea what else it could be other than something involving the lack of cognitive development of the continental population. Hell, if every animal has species/breeds that have more observable intelligent behaviors than others, why don’t humans?

The best metric for human intelligence is IQ and it shows what we all have known for centuries. I suppose it's interesting to ask why the mental evolution progressed so slowly compared to other cultures around the world. I hardly anything close to a neuroscientist but I have seen people destroy the prefrontal cortex and it causes rash and immediate response as opposed to thinking a conflict or problem through. If you take a close look ever since Operation Gothic Serpant most world powers like the US/NATO with nothing to gain as far as resources go have decided to let Africa sort itself out and I don't blame them. Rwanda? Darfur? figure your own shit out. Maybe some foreign aid comes through but fighting a battle on behalf of people who are just going to do it every 10 years with nothing to gain? What is the point?

I do not buy the African Fauna is a above domestication concept. Many eccentric people around the world own lions and tigers and are quite affectionate with them. Every now and then something goes horribly wrong and someone dies but, I'd wager niggers and pit bulls are 10 times more likely to lead to a human mauling/death than a domesticated lion.

Yes. So is Australia.

Humans arrived in Australia 50,000 years ago. At the time, that was the farthest that any human population had managed to get from Africa, and they made it that far before humans entered Europe.

Yes, it took many generations, and no they didn't set out with any particular goal in mind, but still it's an impressive feat. It means that, at that time, they were by definition the most advanced group of humans in existence.

...and then they did nothing else for 50,000 years. As far as I can tell, aborigines today are identical to those who first arrived. And if you left them alone for another 50,000 years, there's no reason to believe they'd develop writing or technology.

Asiatic elephants are much less agressive than african ones. Obviously they have been made that way in part thanks to artificial selection, but also because, once again, asiatic elephants weren't as accostumed to human presence as the african ones were. And there's a difference between taming and domesticating, people have been taming wild animals for a long time now, but such are more of a novelty for the elites of the past and present rather than a civilizationally-relevant advancement.

And yeah, there's no excuse for much of lack of advancement when it comes to exploiting the natural resources, but that's not what we are talking about
