I don't pity Josh because, like you said, his choices led him to where he is today. His substance abuse, lack of hygiene, mistreatment of animals (and some may argue people), refusal to get a real job, and staying in his home all day are all choices he made that have significantly negatively impacted his life.

I do empathize with him though. Imagining myself in his cowboy boots as a drug and alcohol addicted autistic man in my 30s with no life skills, few friends and family, very low income, and mental and physical health issues that have gone untreated for many years, is very depressing. Staying in his trailer all day while high or drunk definitely makes him more depressed, which in turn makes him not want to do anything to fix his life. He lacks self awareness and struggles to reflect on his own actions which also results in no changes. Those cycles are very hard to break without 3rd party intervention which he refuses.

That is not a life I would want to live, but it is Josh's, and I feel for him.

It is possible to sympathize with a person without excusing their behavior, ignoring their flaws. I can sympathize for many of the cows on this site while acknowledging they are the reason why they have a thread here. I agree there are many posters in this thread who lionize Josh though.

Okay Cobes, +1 for creativity of using beef jerky as the “chips” for a nacho food hack. Sounds awful for the teeth, but the other hack is just missing a few of them already.

I’m surprised he hasn’t done a take on Asian nachos, honestly. He could use wonton strips and all the spicy Asian mayonnaise he wants, and top it with sushi or something. Restaurants that do Asian nachos will typically use sashimi grade fish, wonton strips, spicy mayonnaise, and scallions, but the Cobra way of doing it would likely be cursed, but easier to eat than beef jerky nachos.

I’m thinking of making the Reese’s bacon mead and the Cookie Monster mead at home but reasonably, such as blending and straining the ingredients beforehand (and no vinegar with my jalapeños) so we don’t get chunks that can rot, then distill the drink to get a higher abv and subtle flavour compared to whatever he brews. I’d document it and put it on YouTube. I imagine how the boglim meads would ideally taste and I think, not half bad if I say so myself, toobz. Just have to make it to the next paycheck to buy the ingredients and equipment.

If the kid is normal, I think he'd be fine. Unlikely, given the DNA source (both Cobes and whatever recipient to his special meade he could drum up) and him being soaked in chemicals for years. Either way, Clint is relatively normal (if a little eccentric, enough for a death sentence to a-logs), the kid would stand a much better chance with him.
