couple pro tips:

• put a checkmark inside a circle for "evidence"
• "About"/"with respect to"/ other long ways of saying about -> use re or wrt
• Small triangle = change (delta)
• Use people's initials ahead of each statement to track who said what - get familiar with the initials ahead of time

Did a quick "in this thread" search and didn't see anything speculated on this, but forgive me if I'm late af....

But when I heard about Kayla being offered a plea deal, my thought was that the most fucked up possible outcome for this trial would be:

• Kayla, who seems to have some modicum of genuine remorse ("These are the consequences of our actions") and is easily manipulated by Nick takes the plea deal in order to resolve this as quickly as possible
• Nick throws her under the fucking bus in his own case (assuming he gets his hair follicle test suppressed). His wife has already plead guilty to possession, so it's her coke, he's just her husband. The house was in disarray because his housewife was too strung out to cope, he's too busy as an internet lawyer, he was trying so hard with the kids activities but she was too far down in addiction, it was all her, etc.
• April plays fucking dumb. She's just a fleshlight family friend, she was visiting and trying to help out, it's not her house so it wasn't her coke, whatever.
• The darkest timeline would be cuckqueen Kayla being left with five kids, no money, and a felony hanging over her head while April homewrecks again and runs off with Nick, the two of them "vindicated" by the courts, to do blow and a shitty podcast together.

I don't personally understand the difference between a recording or someone being able to take autistic detail in short hand. It seemed retarded during the Trump trial to have people rushing outside to get on live streams to report what had happened in court.

Is it just a matter of the justice system being slow to adopt, or is there an honest belief in privacy in a court room at the loss of transparency? On some level if Rekieta wants to seal it I guess it's not our right to the court proceedings, but that would allow the system to quietly gobble people up. I just want to laugh, I want to hear Nick's coke farts and squirts in court.

Well darn. To any Minnesota kiwis, you better work on your note taking chops. If I can't physically see the court room, I better be able to read like I am there.

A tip for anyone recording: the BEST way to take notes is to write shorthand. It may feel insufferable to do and read, but I promise you, everyone will understand "B4 the stnd, can u expln" or even just shorten the last one to Xpln. It also affords you a chance to write larger. If someone so chooses, they can "decrypt" these notes for kiwis at large that don't want to read text speech.
I learned how valuable this note taking was from several hour lectures, you could almost certainly get the majority.
If there's more than 3 going to record, I would suggest finding each other and focusing on 2 to 3 people, deciding who was going to say what. In the notes, if it's not one of your 3, you write the name of that person and leave the line blank.

If you do something stupid you WILL go to jail, if it goes to trial the judge will probably be extremely angry and not allow any recording.
