2024 is lining up to be the worst viewed year in Game Grumps history. Outside of January, every single month has had less views than January 2013, the best viewed month of the Jon Era. And when you take into account the difference between now and then is 8000+ additional videos and an extra 4+ million subscribers, meaning more videos to watch and more people who should be watching, that's really really not good.

I do wish someone would update this graph for the last couple of years, but just look over at 2013 numbers, because that's what they're getting again.

It would also be interesting to plot the major changes to youtube on that time line too.

I don't know how, but it would be cool data to see if it was content or platform that effects their views.

Unless something has changed, Arin really wanted kids. He said a Game Grumps episode quite a few years ago. He wants two daughters to name after flowers so they'd be his little flowers. I used to find that wholesome but the leaning into the alphabet cult since then makes me hope it doesn't happen for their own sake.
That being said, it tells us that Suzy is the one not wanting kids, which I'm not terribly surprised to hear. Her biological clock is ticking and the longer she waits, the more likely her kids will come out autistic. More so than Arin being the father. I don't have the study on hand but I heard such a study came up a few years ago.

It seems like Dan and Arin have enjoyed their Drag queen episode since Arin brought up drag queens in their newer Danganronpa V3 playthrough and Dan using drag queen lingo, sounding proud that he was learning it. Extremely disappointing but having watched these two for years, Dan is absolutely the kind of guy who is surface level on the subject and is ignorant to the danger Drag queens and troons are to society: more prominently women and children. Meanwhile, Arin would screech about how that's just transphobic lies.

Its more to do with how openly scummy and fake they are. Only the most brain dead of their fanbase actually believes Arin and Dan like video games or are not in it for the money. Arin's alien wife is obviously a scammer piece of shit, so if you fall for it than that is on you.

Its easier for people to accept someone who is openly a piece of shit than someone who is trying to hide it because the audience is somewhat complicit in the act rather than having the wool over their eyes. It doesn't hurt that they keep themselves very insulated from other internet communities who would normally have come in and thrashed them over all the BS they have done over the years.

Doesn't make GG any less of a trash fire filled with shitty people, but that is why the audience doesn't really care about the many controversies over the years. Everyone else left ages ago and their not interesting or connected enough to attract new audiences from other communities who would rightfully call them out.

Watched this and honestly it's totally fine. I don't understand why anyone would watch this and get upset by it. The song is in the style of modern game grumps humor, the animation matches his style and is nice to look at it's fine.

I know animation takes a long time, but the "smash or pass every pokemon" meme is maybe... 2 years old at this point? They're super late to this.
Also the last line of the song where Dan asks if Arin would smash him feels like it's baiting the weird polygrumps crowd, which is weird, because I want to say that they were trying to distance themselves from that stuff 10 years ago, but now it seems like they fully embrace just in case they can squeeze more money out of these retards.
