What’s the serina sperging about?

It comes down to how some of the critters aren’t biologically plausible without intervention. Even the TV Tropes page on it echoed those criticisms.

Serina is a spec evo project about something or someone dumping the most basic ecosystem possible in a life viable moon composed of organisms you could find at a pet store. Guppies, swordtails, sunflowers, grass, clovers, bamboo, grasshoppers, mites, snails and above them all finches. The project spans literal eons and is arguably the most complete and ambitious of its kind.

The impossible critters in it just so happen to be major evolutionary players:

• Terrestrial fish that use their tails as a third limb.
• Birds walking on all fours.
• Birds degenerate enough to stop laying eggs and instead dumping their embryos on lards, slowly becoming vertebrate insects if that.

Serina for a while became the punching bag of redditors that couldn’t come up with anything other than ‘what if octopus but sapient’. The creator actually came and answered the criticisms at some point.

Thread tax: Anyone here that can cover for my Wendigoon covering AH blind spot? I want some context on the ‘next Spielberg’ quote and any other shit as lulzy.

Oh I know what Serina is
I am of the opinion in regards to serina that the creatures aren’t that biologically implausible

1. It’s a time scale of 1/3 of a billion years, and two mass extinctions worse then any earth has seen. yes there is an enough time for drastic changes. Not mention almost every single outlandish creature in Serina has a real life evolutionary analogue
2. The whole point of serina is that there is an outside intervention.
Sounds like just redditors being redditors.

I watched a handful of his videos at the start because I personally enjoy gmod maps but I couldnt get over how annoying he was, oh and if I recall correctly as soon as he was recoginzed by another youtuber he was meatriding for like a couple days but I could be wrong on this, it was vinesauce btw. if you would like a comparison as to why I had stopped watching him this is what he used to sound like 3 years ago.

If anyone is a fan of sleep away camp. I recommend buying a physical. There is a good chance there is probably going to be a movie streaming service that will end up banning.
