Speak for yourself. I find it very easy to hate the people themselves. They advocate for what is literally killing them until their dying breath. I don't think I've ever met an alcoholic who extolled the virtue of alcohol consumption as their second liver began to fail.

But would you, if you COULD say, inject them with something which would 100% cure the delusion and avoid death, refuse to do it because you hated them?

I wouldn't, I'd use it every time. Because I realize that affliction is more the problem than the person.
But I can see why you might disagree if you cant divorce the idea of the person from the lunacy conceptually.

I think she might of had a chance before surgery, but that surgery REALLY seemed to absolutely fuck her up. Other than that, I agree, the surgery maimed her so bad it seemed, it set her death date in the next decade at best. She did it voluntarily for sure, I won't argue there, but I don't think she went under for surgery THINKING "I'm going to have a filthy wreck downstairs which is infected, makes me unable to piss, and kills me before 25". She, regardless of how stupid / tragic it was, believed it would save her, when it actually killed her.

She died as a consequence of her own catastrophic decisions, sure. But as someone else already mentioned, suicide explicitly refers intent. Insane though she was, I did not get the impression that Gruffin actually wanted to die. Also, had there been suicidal intent, the "trans community" absolutely would have wielded her death as a weapon to rally against "TERFs" and "conservatives" and claim transphobia killed this stunning and brave transman. Now, with her cause of death being 100% iatrogenic, they are in a much more difficult position to weaponize her demise, because acknowledging her death would draw scrutiny to everything that went on before... And they're no doubt worried that prospective child troons/poons and their parents might question why a known pediatric transitioner activist just suddenly dropped dead at 24. So it's easier and more convenient for them to just brush her death under the carpet and pretend she never existed.

These insane SRS procedures would be hell on the body of a healthy person, but if a person has any serious medical conditions, it is almost a guarantee their chances for success with the procedure, and the maintenance of their pre-existing medical condition, drop like a rock thrown off a cliff.

Succinctly put. Having only end-stage renal disease is pretty rare. Autoimmune cause? Those never come alone. Renal failure after sepsis, antibiotics and long-term hypoperfusion? What caused the sepsis and what else did it damage? Old as hell? Plenty of time for wear and tear to turn into chronic conditions.

If she'd had ESRD as her only problem, she could have focused on it. And she would have been able to access support, especially still looking little and pitiful--she'd have had the sympathy the munchies dream of.

But because the root of this all was gender, the mutual code of silence between surgeons and experimental victims kept her isolated. Even though Gruffin toed the affirmation line to the end, she was dangerous to talk to and her sequelae were dangerous to talk about, because the devout can sense how easily some topics will stray into heresy. And besides maybe she wouldn't have been having these problems if her faith were stronger. I mean, if she were truly trans. Something like that.

I agree that being warned as a child about new safety considerations is terrifying. For quite a lot of girls, those warnings are necessary. Both of these are problems. And as long as we are not allowed to talk about it without including "...and if that bothers you, maybe you're really a boy," or exploring if a girl's statement of "identity" is due to fear (experienced or instilled) of men's reaction to her new body, girls will continue to be ushered down the poon-tunnel with the best of intentions all around.
