Well, there are degrees to everything, of course. The degree of hook nose I think still looks good is just much, much more limited than the degree to which delicate+upturned nose looks good. This thread is for posting botched rhinoplasties, but I know women who’ve had this done irl and their results were great.

Most likely because they didn't turn it up to 11 and didn't end up with a nose like Moo/Mariah Mallad. This is what fascinates/horrifys me the most about current plastic surgery trends, everything is so fucking extreme and out-there. Back in the day you had an outlier like that crazy cat-faced lady but now it seems to be the norm to look as botched as possible.

Nah, I think it has to fit the face, hooked noses shouldn't be remade into upturned pointed noses. Honestly, my mom and I have pointy, upturned noses but very sharp, large faces otherwise - pointy noses look good when you are young because that's really what it is: a baby nose.
But it looks kinda meh past 30 inourhumbleopinions.
And operated barbie noses look really off with age:

You can easily tell why she had it done back then but now she wouldn't look half as gaunt and severe with her real nose.
I don't doubt that you know people who look good, I have seen it too.
But it's always people who are way under 30 too and who knows how they would've grown into their faces...
But that's all I care to preach on that topic and I will see myself out now, since I'm not a gorl and ended up sperging here without really noticing.

Same with makeup, shit is getting loony. People try to look their social Media personas, but good look trying to mold flesh and skin into the shape of a instagram Filter.

But it's also that people only present themselfs at very curated angles and dress themselfs to look "good" at that specific angle and most importantly, on screen. No surprise that you end up looking like a fucking clown if you literally style yourself in 2D.

I agree. I like well-applied make-up on girls but the new trends put even the shit that was popular in the 90's and objectively looked clownish to shame. Girlfriend says it's because modern make-up trends orient themselves by what is popular in drag queen circles.

People clearly don't even do a 360 while looking in the mirror anymore. These young ladies I see in my community obviously have a 2+ hour toiletry routine but they don't account for what they look like without a filter or in motion. Their clothes aren't flattering, their face shape is still obvious, their foundation is obvious. Just look at yourselves! It looks B A D! Okay so you hoisted those built in thong leggings over your big ol bootie, but it's still a squarish dumper with more mass at the top than the bottom...unless you stand a particular way and hold the camera at a certain angle...which doesn't reflect what you look like while slouched over a grocery cart as you're navigating the food samples at Costco.

I like iranians and get along with most of them fine because their culture values education very highly and most of the ones that came over as refugees when i was growing up where persecuted religious minorities, like persian kurds, and not mule-headed muslims (sister-in-law is Bahá'í). They integrate very well and are, along with viets, a so-called "model minoriety" here. Food's pretty baller, too.

Edit: Also, while not my cup of tea, very beautiful women on average.

Edit edit: Even their muslims tend to be okay because they are shia, they tend to be a lot more easy-going than sunnis. Same reason for why i get along with the lebanese fine and say that even my racist ass has muslims of lebanese descent in his social circle he considers friends. I put away my race- and religious related soap box now, sorry.
