I knew this grad student (who's now a prof appallingly) who dated the most stereotypically white white guys ever. She was also reddit personified - obsessed with star wars and craft beer, had an elizabeth warren tattoo on her thigh, her dissertation was on microaggressions, has that weird dead eye red scare host stare etc. Then she decided she needed lgbt clout so she started calling herself bi and to prove it dated a string of unlucky lesbians for like a few months at a time, posted about them CONSTANTLY for social media clout, and then dumped them unceremoniously and immediately went back to dating men once she got her professorship. Once she started doing this she would write NON STOP about "bi erasure." She loves dating these hideous men who look like Gimli from lotr now and I'm not sure what the angle is - is it an old dirty bastard fetish? Does she think it gives her more power (it does) to be way hotter than them?

I guess more generally, why are bisexual women like this? They seem like this off-putting amalgamation of the desperation a pick-me and the power hungriness of an identity politics person. It feels like nothing they say or do evidences any real kind of authenticity or sincerity. It's creepy.

idk to me 'bisexual' is mostly an 'in theory' thing for like 90% of people who claim to be it, its more about 'do I like or find this person hot enough to be down to fuck around', and I think for a lot of it its a matter of degrees of limits, like maybe youd be in a circlejerk, maybe youd be down to tag team some woman with your bros or whatever but you prob wouldnt suck the dick or take it up the ass. Or some woman eating out her friend in college because shes bored and likes her friend enough to fool around or something.
