I sort of wish 40s and 50s style educational PSA videos would come back. I know they contain a fair bit of propaganda in them, but it was nice that there was an interest in putting easy to digest educational stuff out there for the masses.

I don't think it should be illegal, just something that stays within your bedroom. I mean, you're an 80s kid. You probably say gayness and transsexuality go from "not something you reveal" to socially celebrated, right?

“Why do you care what consenting adults do in their own homes?” And other variants were the old rallying cries. I think history has now shown that those libertarian ideals that we can all live and let live and not care what others do in their private lives is a bit of a fantasy.
I’m certainly open to hearing proposals on how you’d prevent the decline, but given how it turned out last time I’m skeptical.

Interesting how from what I could tell, all the examples were about older men preying on younger (underage) men.

Alan Turing was prosecuted in the 50s and the only reason it even happened is because cops literally had no choice due to the circumstances and overwhelming evidence. The answer is she's not. In the last few weeks, there's been a notable decrease in the number of polls as the honeymoon period draws to a close. Recent polling has been going in Trump's favor, and that's even with the same polling skew that made it so left-leaning in the first place, like undersampling the white vote. According to Baris, Kamala has consistently lost the electoral college in her internal polling since becoming the nominee. This is why she's been trying to co-opt so many of Trump's positions, as she needs to gain their support. Also, she's currently dealing with the vp backlash and her shit economic policy of price controls. It's the same as in 2020. The more they talk, the worse they do. However, this time, they don't have the COVID shield, and unlike Biden, she has a well-documented history of supporting far-left policy, so not talking opens Trump to craft her policy for her and push away moderate voters. I honestly expected the bump to last until after the convention, but it seems that's not happening. Also, given this convention is looking like it's going to be a 5-alarm shitshow, im unsure if she even gets a bump from this as expected.
