These people have defaced national treasures and to my knowledge have not received punishment for it. I'll agree with you here that they'll face jail time for this particular event due to bad optics and so Democrats can save face. That makes sense to me. However, I'll just say that if the protestors are arrested, it will only make them angrier due to the sudden condemnation of how they've been allowed to operate. What difference does it matter if you assault police officers in Washington or Chicago? Or, better yet, politicians who won't both support Palestine and call for the end of Israel? You know, the place with the leader they've been showcasing as lynched in their protests.
