What would matter in Nick's case in court would be him hiring a credible expert witness. The type of witness that is going to cost a whole lot of money. More money than a broke-ass junkie like Nick has these days. Taking big about studies you read or having your attorney quote those studies in court isn't going to get you anywhere. The sort of names Nick & Barneswalker threw around in the CPS process as potential witnesses would not be good enough.
But its already easy to see that Nick is going to treat anything other than the county increasing his child-related charges at the omnibus hearing as total balldo victory.
Nick had an 'expert' on his witness list that was on his 3rd or 4th career after drug testing and is currently some YouTube/Social Media guy. His credentials were laughable.

All of the metabolites tested for are also byproducts of cocaine manufacture and their presence does not prove that the cocaine was ever metabolised, and furthermore, topical cocaine exposure to the hair has been proven to metabolise into enough norcocaine and benzoglyc to trip follicle tests.
The ratios of the various metabolites in relation to each other and to the parent drug is what will indicate actual use vs exposure vs cocaine sitting in a baggy. Depending on what the exact numbers are, Nick might have a leg to stand on, or he might just be telling any pathetic lie he can think of.
I appreciate the insight. What I gather is that Nick could release more detailed test or have them re-done. However, he chooses not to, and he chooses to (metaphorically) eat single Doritos chips sassily while calling people 'prudes' without releasing anything.
In terms of 'fairness', in Civil court, one is allowed to draw a negative inference (I am told) when someone refuses to answer a question, so in my mind, it is legitimate to doubt Nick's own representations on their own merits.
