This was my main concern about these so-called "predator hunters". They tend to interfere with police investigations and is a dangerous tactic. The fact that DAP actually assaulted the guy and ended up getting arrested instead of the predator should've been a warning sign for people to not engage in these types of things and to just leave it to law enforcement agencies. I'm slowly beginning to not have any trust in these vigilantes. They should've been helping the police, not take justice into their own hands, and look where that got the "Dads Against Predators" vigilante group members. They let who they think is a child predator get away with it. Real sickening if you ask me.

I would caution anyone taking spencer at their word.. she seems allergic to any accountability. Doesn't make Max a saint, he's a POS as well.. she's just trying to grift out of a shit choice she made.. again..

Side note: If you are supposed to be investigating or writing a story about someone.. it's generally best to not move them into your home. Especially when the situation looks near identical to what she claims to have happened before with the last guy..

Anybody else find it weird that she refers to MamaMax as "the youtuber"? Max mentioned before that they were cousins and one of Mutas big concerns was the conflict of interest that came with that association. It's strange to me that she would refer to Max as "the youtuber" instead of "my cousin". It would be funny as hell if Max threw away his entire fake and gay youtube career over some random fat chick he was playing house with.

It was intended for the victims, according to Max himself. But that was heavily debunked when it was discovered that there were victims asking online for donations for diapers for their baby. Now Spencer somewhat nonchalantly confirmed that she's the one getting all the money, as it was innitially suspected.

at this point i believe Camden Gerard Davis was an autistic african american guy who had an abusive overweight girlfriend who lives incredibly boring lives because she is too lazy to get a job and spends her days making furry, goth fanfiction about how she is like Bella in a Twilight-adjacent story. And she probably posted it on tumblr, got a few mentally unwell women who are fans of the fanfics and fans of hers to join the "Cult"

and Spencer with all her obese retardry ended up starting her mini-cult that fell apart quite fast.

The best part of that situation was not only did she realize she was dying because of her “teachings”, when she begged her followers to take her to a hospital they refused as they believed it was some sort of test of their faith.

Honestly, everything that Spencer described didn't sound like enough of a big deal to warrant the Hotline Miami LARPing dramatization, and just better editing of the interview would have sufficed. If Camden really did do things like leave minor girls pregnant or coerce them into meeting up with him, that's sickening - but anything else really did seem like your average Amino/Kik roleplay bullshit. It's happening on the daily to hundreds of people at a time, it sucks, many many actual predators lurk such spaces that target tweens and teens. Max really bungled the presentation of evidence, because it should've been a slam-dunk.

Their relationship was Friend of the Family kind of thing, which people are sometimes wont to class as cousins (I think it's because it's easier for little kids to understand that cousins are closer than friends and acquaintances, so a parent might tell their 5yo kid "This is your cousin" etc). IIRC Spencer's mum is a close friend of Max' mum. It's all kinda vague though so I'm not 100% certain on that but that's how I remember it being explained anyway. Could ofc just be a lie they concocted between themselves.
