you're confusing the union with the supernintendo and his merit hires. the city absolutely let the looting happen, all along the miracle mile and elsewhere. they ran cops ragged on 12 hr shifts with no days off, manning patrols with 2 or 3 cars a shift. the knockover effect is still happening now with copa fucking cpd officers in the ass over stupid shit.

e: mayor johnson is on the side of protesters, letting them get their gay sound stage and other protest concessions by writ despite what the city, ss and the dnc wanted.
