It's why it annoyed me seeing the media treat the reporter like a childThat's why I said "context or not". Trump gets flamboyant when mocking people, but with that guy in particular, it was easy to make it seem malicious. Hence why I think having the guy mumble unaided was to bate a soundbite.
I just work under the assumption that 99% of political ads lie to you, because if politicians were forced to be honest, nobody would actually vote for them. Most politicians, especially ones in Congress, generally suck, but Trump is one of the few I trust because most others couldn’t go through the amount of scrutiny he has, as well as being jailed and having an assassination attempt by his opposition, and still come out as unscathed as he has. I actually wish more politicians got as much scrutiny as Trump has, because so many get away with crap because they just say nice things to a camera. In two separate states I have witnessed PAC generated ads that completely lie about the GOP candidate's position on birth control and abortion.
Two minutes of searching showed the commercials were complete fiction but most people are not going to bother with that because GOP is so evil.
It's less on "honesty," but more on what can they do, or NOT do, for me. You go for the spectacle.I just work under the assumption that 99% of political ads lie to you, because if politicians were forced to be honest, nobody would actually vote for them.
Media got too complacent with the power they wielded. They helped Bush Junior win the presidency twice. They moved to black Jesus Obama after. And then comes along Orange Man Bad who won without the media's help.I just work under the assumption that 99% of political ads lie to you, because if politicians were forced to be honest, nobody would actually vote for them. I mean ... Providing a minor with birth control behind the parents' backs is 100% something that a child predator would do.The DNC sure loves to push the parents out of the way when it comes to children and sexuality. It is almost like they are all child predators or something.
The media attacks just made him more likable. I remember in 2016 of Dems trying to make a big deal about Trump’s liking of fully cooked steak with ketchup, and his eating of KFC with silverware. It got so ridiculous that it was at levels of “Hitler drank water too.” It also just worked as free advertising, because even if the coverage was negative, his name was kept way more at the front of people’s minds than Hillary’s was.Media got too complacent with the power they wielded. The second I saw the "Love Trumps Hate" posters, I knew it was over for her. Who in their right mind would use their opponent's name on their own campaign advertising?!![]()
That why this "joy" campaign is so fucking tone deaf. As if people wanted to be reminded of how shit the economy is and as if people didn't have it hard enough. They are being told to be joyful....Hillary stupidly bought into this TDS as well with her campaign.

Hmmm... thinking out loud here, but the fact that there's a growing movement of trying to give minors HRT without their parents knowledge... one has to wonder...To my understanding, the biggest issue that the vast majority of Republicans have with birth control at this point is that the Democrats are trying to make it widely available to minors without the parents' knowledge.
Which is objectively fucked up. I'm wholly behind the GOP on this one.
I'm generally against it as well. Not because I think it's morally wrong or anything but because I think there are some serious health and behavioral issues with it. I think having a normal hormonal cycle is healthy and does a lot more than just make you bleed, so disrupting it without good reason to do so should be treated with a lot more skepticism. For things like PCOS common reasons for it like insulin resistance should be evaluated first, and more conservative methods to address it and improve it if it's a factor recommended initially to see if that's all that's needed. Most PCOS is insulin resistance related, and a proper nutrition plan (to normalize insulin, blood sugar, etc) and other lifestyle changes (improving sleep, and stress) can improve it or even get rid of symptoms entirely for some people.Personally, I am against the pill
I think I’d have a hard time trying to choose a good slogan for a rushed campaign under an unpopular presidency. People like it when you promote positivity and hope, but that’s hard to do when your policies of the last few years have been the opposite of it. A more honest slogan would be “I’m not Trump, so like me.” Dems really dropped the ball with this presidency, and even the best PR teams in the world can only do so much to make it look good. That why this "joy" campaign is so fucking tone deaf. As if people wanted to be reminded of how shit the economy is and as if people didn't have it hard enough. They are being told to be joyful....
Wtf.
Ana, jump ship while you can! Even Cenk's kinda like, well yeah.. Cenk will go apeshit stupid again, but maybe Ana has a chance heh.

So many issues start and end with a proper food intake. But we're not allowed to talk about that because Coca-Cola psyop'd everyone into think the issue is a lack of exercise.I'm generally against it as well. Her story is kind of compelling when you look at it on a broader scale. Makes you want to root for her.Ana Kasparian's character development over the past year or so has been entertaining as hell to watch.
Had to figure that out for myself the hard way. Many other people still havent realized it, or misunderstand what it means. So many issues start and end with a proper food intake. But we're not allowed to talk about that because Coca-Cola psyop'd everyone into think the issue is a lack of exercise.
